jacko 1990
I've got a Belkin one, works fine, but get a Tech expert to install it for you cos its tricky stuff, you have to go on a offline internet site and set up all these settings, its mad shit. Or was that just mine? EDIT.... Does anyone know how to LOCK Wireless internet? Edited January 2, 2008 by jacko1990
Louis
What kind of connection do you have Zed? Cable or ADSL? Jacko - what is the model of your router?
MikeO
My router (speedtouch) came free with my internet package. Piece of piss to set it up and it's automatically locked, aren't they all? Unless I misunderstand what you mean by locked....I mean the neighbours may be able to get the signal but they can't connect without the WEP (I think) code. It's ADSL btw. Louis
You'll be fine Mike There was a programme on BBC not long ago that shown some guy in his car on his laptop using the wireless signal from the houses and getting bank information, it scared a lot of people into buying a new router for some reason.
