Bill
Defensive midfielder and is 30 years old, is he just a quick fix short term buy, or do we want something a bit Younger...........25/26 seems to be the Age group DM has been going for. Blue4Ever
If moyes can pull this transfer off it could make us that extra bit better to challenge top 4 imo. He is getting on but he's the type of player we need, unless moyes can pull off a Song/Diaby/Appiah/Diarra then id certantly consider this. jacko 1990
He's a good player but will end up at a bigger club than ourselves IMO.
jamiemaher85
^^^ I cant believe i even get the chance to say this.... In all fairness we are a very attractive team to go to right now. I can't see any of the top four going for him and if he wants a move to england then we would be one of the obvious choices, we are one of the "bigger" clubs in the prem now. We're top 6, latter stages of eufa, quater-finals of carling cup... ooo heady times
Belfast Toffee
Yes please! Great holding midfield player, similar in many ways including age to Vogel, would not say no to either play, but would rather have Albelda. Age is my only worry, a few of the posters above have stated the likes of Abou Diaby, Diarra, Song, Appiah, which if I am honest would all be good options. I wonder what DM will do? Romey 1878
I canny find it. Seriously though, why would he not want to come to England? He might not necessarily come to us but I see no reason why he wouldnt want to play in this country. The Premier League pays the highest wages, I know we don't but Pompey and Spurs will. England will be an attractive option to him. I'd rather have someone younger myself but if him or Vogel gets us to the summer when Moyes likes to do his buying then I'm happy with that. Yh Suppose so, i want want that too. we could be in with a shout of getting him cos, he aint going to get in the team above, Hleb, Fabregas and Flamini, so a spell on the sidelines could well edge him to leave and we are looking quite an attractive club to come to. CraccerC
i dnt wanna take a risk on someone o his age for that much money, spanish players tend not to do too well, besides a few. we shud be looking a bit more long term imo

Josh Berno
I would buy him I think we could haggle the price down abit tho possible 3m. We need the money for Piennar tho and then counting Vogel hes free tho but the player space wud be pileing up (dont no wether hes still cuming) but I couldnt decide. Everyones saying Diaby but Moyes has showed no intrest in him so i doubt that will happen. End of the day Moyes makes the decisions we hardly have any say really. CraccerC
stating the obvious a bit mate, hardly? we have fuck all say, just the way it is...more than happy with cars so vogel on a free is spot on for back up, put money elsewhere into a younger player

Calico
Vogel is more versatile as he can play along the back line as well, so I'd prefer him. Plus, he would cost less, obviously.

efc1111
Fast forward to 2013 and David Albelda is now 35 and leaving Valencia on a free transfer after 15 years there. This article says "he is thought to be interesting Everton manager Roberto Martinez now he is a free agent", although there are no quotes of course. http://www.football365.com/everton/8772118/-

thoward18
I'm becoming resigned to the fact that every single ex-Wigan player and available Spaniard is going to be linked to us.
Zoo
If he comes on a mega low salary then why not? I can just see him being another Hitzelspurger to be honest. He will do a job if needed and if he doesn't make an appearance then he's not going to break our bank. Quinn31
