Louis
I recently found that the Setanta Shield has a rule that says that the team line up for the SS cup games must include at least ten players who were named in the squad for their previous league game. My question is - would a similar rule be good to improve the reputation of the Carling Cup? Also is there anyone here besides me who thinks that any professional team in the Irish leagues and SPL should be invited into the tournament? jamiemaher85
i reckon 10 players would be too many to force a team to play. Especially if they have a "bigger" game coming up. Calring cup doesn't have a great rep because in all fairness its not the greatest cup. May be worth saying you have to include at least 5 starting players from your last league game in your squad, but 10 is too many with the amount of games that the top clubs play.
