Romey 1878
I'm going to go ahead and predict that the next Doctor will be a woman. It's going to be Kris Marshall apparently. I'l be disappointed if it's a woman and I hope it never happens (I know it will eventually though).

The Dr will black before being a woman (if he hasn't been already, I don't get Dr Who at all)
rubecula
; The Dr will black before being a woman (if he hasn't been already, I don't get Dr Who at all) no much to get really he is an alien came to earth liked it so much he stayed, got a ship that travels through space and time. he dies every so often and grows a new body. the actors who have played the role have been: Willim Hartnell, Patrick Troughton, Jon Pertwee, Tom Baker, Peter Davidson, Colin Baker, Sylvester McCoy, Paul McGann, Christopher Eccleston, David Tennant , Matt Smith, John Hurt, Peter Capaldi and also Peter Cushing (separate film series) I may have seen it once

MikeO
Quality that Rubes, love the pic of the class drinking their "third of a pint" bottles of milk, remember it well; "milk monitor" was a big honour . Then the milk snatcher came along . rubecula

nyblue23
I just searched and found Archer hidden in the annals of this thread. Shit is hilarious. I'm an episode into season 7, which is the second to last. Most highbrow cartoon comedy I've ever seen.
Matt
Archer was brilliant. SimonButtle and nyblue23
Louis
I've just watching this on YoutTube: http://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/p04t3x61 An Evertonian MMA fighter shows what he goes through to drop 7 kilograms in time for a scale measurement prior to a fight. pete0
Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood. Remake/retelling of Fullmetal Alchemist but truer to the manga.
pete0
I can't find Jaime's Spiderman comment but it was a nice prewarning. Feel like I've just watched a film based on Iron man's kid who wears Spiderman pyjamas to bed. One positive was the humour was better than the usual cringey Marvel stuff. Lowensda
Rick & Morty I'm not a cartoon type of person, but I'm loving this show. It took me a fair few episodes. But I get it. It's soo much smarter than it lets on. Like Matt said, it's batshit crazy but weirdly, has some plausibility about it. Bonkers but brilliant. I like the direction. It's Sunday night counterpart Insecure is pretty damn good, too.
johnh
Just been watching a documentary on You Tube. It's about Alistair Urquhart (the luckiest man in WWII). Taken prisoner by the Japanese in Singapore, he worked on the infamous railway (including the bridge over the river Kwai). Got and survived cholera. Put on a ship bound for Japan, got torpedoed and spent several days alone on a life raft. Picked up by another Japanese ship and take to a prison camp in Nagasaki, he was there when the atom bomb was dropped. When he was finally freed, he weighed six stone. 'They don't make them like that any more' hardly does him justice. When the documentary was made, he was 97. aaron and rubecula

If they ever met I would feel sorry for the kids.

Finn balor
Watched Dunkirk on imax. Very good film, like most Nolan films it lacks a bit of heart but the way he uses real actors and props rather than cgi is amazing. There isn't much dialogue never mind a proper conversation but it's tense and a real piece of film making

Bill
By boxing class do you mean all that dancing about in the ring, or do you mean a class fight with both boxers trying to punch each others head off. Some of those class boxers would be alright on Strictly come dancing. rubecula
