Dalziel Kane
Last thing for tonight but Striking Distance on Five Willis plays an alcoholic Pittsburgh river law enforcement figure and it's largely straight to video mundane action, albeit with one or two decent action bits and pieces. Better than awful shit like Color of Night though. Horse face Sarah Jessica Parker is in it with some other minor names.
Louis
I was listening to a review of this film: http://fireintheblood.com/ I'd like to see it but no local cinemas are showing it.

Dalziel Kane
Tell a lie, it has to be the Oldham replay tonight, but won't be switching on until the actual game gets underway, I want no part of their awful presenters, but at least it's on television and you can watch what occurs, and there won't be goddamn commercials on every five minutes either. It's what I am (or will be) watching.
Dalziel Kane
There's nothing above shit on right now and we're just about done for the day but on BBC2 now they're showing the winter effects of 1963 when the sea froze over and it played havoc with the sporting calendar and FA cup games were postponed one after the other and it looked as through the competition could go on 'til October. It was the worse British winter ever apparently but wasn't here then, but well worth a watch for some. Just starting if you hurry
pete0
Paperman. Great short (7 mins) animated story by Disney, emotional but not quite up there with the beginning of Up.

Romey 1878
The latest series has started out with a bit of a bang too. Can't wait for the next episode.
MikeO
Watch series three episode nineteen of Raising Hope last night (just shown in America). It's the one with virtually the whole cast of My Name is Earl in it and multiple Earl references....very clever (though not actually as funny as I'd hoped). Superb film....didn't realise it was on. Damn......wife is watching Gladiator for the 476th time so the TV is off limits .
Dalziel Kane
Surely you have more than one television or satelite receiver in your residence ? Cracker is on ITV3 but it's the same damn series and episodes they put on only a week ago. No surprise..
MikeO
Surely you have more than one television or satelite receiver in your residence ? Should we have? I thought you were a traditionalist Ethel.
Dalziel Kane
Dependant on what there is that's needed to be changed. We have seven televisions and four receivers but that's only a statistic, but point being, it's not always a problem when someone wants to see something. Dalziel Kane
Skyfall was OK, but hardly the best Bond release there ever was. Craig is becoming as much a humor Bond as Roger Moore was (unfortunately) Last Quaid movie I saw was Innerspace I think, and that was on release. Last night's film was a bit of a disappointment though, it has to be said.

Unless you think dark and twisted is humour (which would explain a lot). Innerspace is amazing.
MikeO
Innerspace is amazing. Not seen that but Dennis Quaid is (in everything I've ever seen him in) a slightly worse actor than your average plank of wood. I watched Mary and Martha tonight (Hilary Swank/Brenda Blethyn). Very moving.

Dalziel Kane
It only got a 3 out of 10 rating. Sounds worse than Anaconda for big snake mayhem. Predator 2 is on Film 4 right now if no-one's seen it, but it's nothing like the original. Having it in an urban environment was doomed to failure right from the start. Dalziel Kane
I would have thought The Swarm with Michael Caine would have been near the top of that lot. Or even at the summit come to that.
