SimonButtle
U2 did'nt do it for me last night, they are way past their best now, listened to them chatting afterwards, bloody Bono thinks he's Jesus or something, not impressed, i agree Mike, its unadventurous stadium rock these days
MikeO
Soz Mike0 didnt mean to cause any aggro (altho your missus is right haha), hope you kissed and made up nudge nudge wink wink! All was well :red hair DM: . Battle opened again though....Coldplay, whatever you think of their music, were brilliant tonight in terms of putting on a show imo. Wife disagrees, but what does she know ? U2 made me think, "Good songs played well." Coldplay played songs that aren't quite so good but made me smile a lot. Sorry Mike, i thought Coldplay were rubbish, they make my skin crawl they are so bad, turned back over to the Chemical Brothers(who i dont normally like) but the ight show they had going on was somthing to behold, and also saw some of Janelle Monae, who is like a female James Brown, she was really good, proper show it was. smeghead1
Well Mike0 i can even up the score now and agree i thought Coldplay were great, not a big fan at all but when you see 100,000 fans all acting like they were surely they were doing something right. Louis
I haven't watched any Glasto this year.. strange decision to have Beyonce headlining... I watched "Tony Robinson down under", interesting series about how Australia came to be as we know it. I only put it on because I thought it a porno. Joke! SimonButtle
Tragic would be a better word. I don't know, she isn't someone who id pick to headline Glastonbury, but she did ok, it was a decent show she put on. must say though(Mike im interested to know what you think about this) thought the sound quality on some of the bands ive heard over the weekend was absolutly dreadful, a few things i saw, it was like the mic's were not even switched on, on some of the smaller stages it was just really poor

holystove
Game of Thrones. It's about the struggle for power in an imaginary kingdom. The setting is somewhat like Lord of the Rings. Not a brilliant show, watchable nonetheless.
MikeO
Just going to watch the first episode of the new Camelot on channel4. Strange programme...some of the cast are excellent but Arthur is shite....as is Guinnevere . Script is poor and I think the director has come straight from Neighbours. Game of Thrones is infinitely better.

Big robots kick seven bells of shit out of each other. Insanely amazing. Loved it. Edited July 5, 2011 by tenaciousj

If you know your history, especially renaissance Italy, you'll know that it (TV series) won't end well. Secondly the daughter who's looks of innocence are incredibly mis-leading

pete0
Freaks and geeks, really good show from the late 90s has a bit of a John Hughes feel to it. Unreal how many of the caste have moved on to better things as well

pax
I highly recommend Barney's Version. Great film, but i am a big Paul Giamatti fan. I thought Sideways was brilliant too. Bit of escapism from the usual Hollywood crap that is churned out for the masses.
pax
Just finished watching The Event, like many shows I get into it's been cancelled ¬_¬ I watched the first series of that and thought it was alright. I haven't heard anything of it since then, didn't even know it had been shown again. How many series did they do?

MikeO
I watch Charlotte Gray the other day having recently read it. Poor effort really, and the story was changed drasically on many occasions....including a totally different ending .
SimonButtle
I have been watching Castle lately, another US crime drama but its quite light, and the stories are usually quite good, and Stana Katic who plays the lead role is a nice bit of eye candy
