Popular Post Btay
If it stays 2-2 it will feel like 2 points dropped. Such a good attacking performance thats let down by 2 horrible moments of defending. badaids, dunlopp9987, Wiggytop and 2 others

Btay
Huge chance... All from Allan in midfield. King needs to finish and richy has to get that on target. James though, is seeing things no one else does.

nyblue23
Richy biffed that but that rebound came with a lot of pace. King has to not hit that directly at the keeper. Incredible vision by James.
dunlopp9987
Have a feeling this one will end 2-2, and although I'll be miffed we dropped 2 points, the silver lining is that hopefully this fully convinces Carlo and the board to go out and get Koulibaly at all costs this summer Elston Gunnn

nyblue23
So disappointing and so unsurprising. Wasn’t sure we could put anything together without DCL but we thoroughly outclassed them in attack. Sigurdsson and James both excellent. Allan the absolute difference maker. We better not give a second thought to re-signing King. Keane absolutely terrible tonight and the reason we lost 2 points that we deserved. Btay
Regardless though of result, the performance in general has been excellent. badaids
The one thing that Keane is usually reliable at is heading. Not tonight though. I've never seen a set of centre backs that are so error prone.

dunlopp9987
I'm also wondering if it was Mina or Godfrey next to Keane and not Holgate, if Keane would've made those mistakes. I'm not trying to excuse them, because that was a horror-show for Michael, but he's usually much more solid back there and wondering if that was part of the issue. Basically I want Holgate gone haha pete0 and Btay 1

I'll be a Coleman apologist until the day I die. Love the man but his legs aren't what they once were. I think he'll be best as an impact sub like he was today. He's truly the only player around the team besides Godfrey who shows absolutely consistent desire and effort. DCL is close to that level, but I'm not sure he knows how to stay involved when things aren't going his way. And Richy has the desire but starts slouching when things don't go his way. A couple others could get honorable mentions in that category (Allan/Mina), but we have far too many who show up some days just looking like they wished they were anywhere else. Digne had Baines as back-up when he first joined. In reality, we should have signed a right-back last summer as we look much better with Coleman (and others) in the team. Bailey
That was by far the best game I have seen from us for a long time. That period after we scored to on or around their 2nd goal was much more like it. We had control of the ball and we were pressing much more aggresively. Davies had his best game for a while. I thought he was going to have a stinker in those first 30 minutes but he played really well after that. Him and Allan always just seemed to get their foot in. It was good to see the latter back in the side too. He too started slow but got better and better. James was the star of the show though. I have questioned his attitude but there was nothing wrong with it today. He more than rose to then occasion. Godfrey had an excellent game too and Coleman's cameo was a breath of fresh air compared to the directionless performance from Iwobi. Siggy showed moments of quality too, that goal was outstanding. Keane and Holgate were unquestionably the let downs. The former had his worst game for a long time. Richarlison was a massive let down again too. He worked his socks off and did all the right things until it came to that final moment. When James gets the ball its like time slows down but with Richarlison it goes into fast forward. There was a point when I really thought this game could be a catalyst but that goal took the wind out of the moment. Spurs are a terribly managed side who cant tell their arse from their elbow so we can definitely beat them to 7th. The Arsenal game could be a big one. Romey 1878
Everton, that. We turn up for a change and then shoot ourselves in the foot. So much so, that it feels more like a loss. Another disappointing thing about it is that we only played in patches but when we did play we looked really good. Which makes you wonder why we don't play for a full game. Why it took us going behind to actually push and impose ourselves on the game. We need to be less passive in games and take control. nyblue23, MikeO, Matt and 1 other

I don’t follow other teams in the EPL closely enough to have any idea whether some of them match us in demonstrating such a variety of dismayingly “creative” ways to drop points. Today was maddening. One would have thought that after the embarrassing miscommunication between Keane and Holgate that caused the first Spurs’ goal, that Ancelotti would have pointedly reminded them to be alert, yell at each other, get on the same bloody page. That they’d have talked constantly with each other for the remainder of the match. Yet the second goal looked equally, even identically, the product of an utter failure to play in synch as CH’s. They just looked stupid. Yet another deflating variety of bumbling mental and physical torpor. Romey 1878
