SimonButtle
if he's good enough give him a go, look at rooney he's a short arse, but he's solid, kissock needs a few years in the gym, his height should not matter.
Bill
Size means Fook all, we've had a few good uns who where very small, Bobby collins for one but the best was Alan Ball, Bill Shankly once said about Bally........"He's only about five foot tall and weighs 8 stone soaking wet, but 6 stone of it must be his Heart." What a player.
jamiemaher85
he may look like messi, but about half as good at football well if even if he is half as good as messi that still means he's twice as good as beattie
SimonButtle
we should drop the comparisons and concentrate on getting him in the 1st team, it would be great to see a joe cole/messi type player in the team, but too much exposure and hype will lead to the top 4 sniffing around him. CraccerC
hes not that young anymore, id have expected to hear about him by now on the bench or something... not heard ihm mentioned for a while , is he even doing that well in the ressies or is he another schumacher? Louis
It's a strange one, he's 17 and hasn't been near the first team (Alkmaar aside). He's been given a first team squad number. Vidarsson was above Kissock in the pecking order but it looks like's he going to Holland. There have mumblings that he's more interested in dj'ing than football - I think he'll end up in League One unless we some some more of him inthe coming seasons. Although we may have to wait a while for him to play, let's not forget that Osman never made his début 'til he was
CraccerC
osmans not too special though really is he. don't get me wrong, useful player, but he didn't have that build up that kissock has had. with our shortage of decent mids, especially wide, i thought we may have heard more over the last 18 months, but barely a thing. Bill
More so since he moved him inside, cos he was never a winger.
CraccerC
his move to gretna... with our shortness in midfield atm , am i reading too much into it thinkin maybe hes not gonna make it. even if he isnt ready now, we dnt have any other options as back-up do we
FairWooney
he hasn't played a first team game, moyes obviously doesn't think he's ready or good enough so best send him out to play with someone else. Gretna's not where i'd want to be sent to work for a few months but he's certainly going to have to work hard, bottom of the table side where every game is a tough one. i hope he can come of age and make his mark there and we take him back. Lillelord
Seems to have made a good start to his Gretna career, although they lost 2-0 against Hearts. From The Scotsman: The diminutive striker John-Paul Kissock, a loan acquisition from Everton, scampered forward with the ball at his feet – and although that move also broke down, it hinted that Kissock, easily the most impressive of Gretna's new boys yesterday, will offer energy, enthusiasm and no little skill. He had some neat tricks – including one that took him past Robbie Neilson in the box in the second half – and Irons raved about him afterwards as a player "with a big career in football in front of him". Also, MOM according to Gretnas website
J*A*C*K*E*L*Z
hopefully he can continue that form till the end of the season an then it will be one less player we will have to sign in the summer i still do wonder why moyes never even considerd him though? jacko 1990
If he's a striker dont thnk he will get in ahead of our current 4, thats why we got rid?
Romey 1878
If he's a striker dont thnk he will get in ahead of our current 4, thats why we got rid? He's a midfielder and he's too lightweight. That will be part of the reason he's gone out on loan.

FairWooney
from the look of it he's the only player playing for them! good to see who's doing well. hopfully if he's not going to play for us we actually get some money for him, i'd like to see him come back and get a chance at some point but if it's not to be then we need to make sure we get something for him. good to see he's dealt with going up there though, from the sound of it he didn't particularly want to go and didn't even know where Gretna was before going. i know a lot of people have commented on his attitude and that he wouldn't get his hair when told to and seems more interesting in his djing than football but to go up to Gretna is a good move in sorting any attitude problems, a long way from home at a small struggling club where he's got the chance to prove himself and away from any temptation to do anything but that. CraccerC
gretna manager was saying how good he looked, but said he didnt know whether he would be physically up to the prem...which he probably wont be, sad really, one of our brighter talents couple years ago
StevO
still a bright talent i think. always looks handy for the reserves. he can build on the physical side if he needs to, osman was too light weight till he was about

Ian
osman still is too lightweight, and doesn't have enough pace either And has been sorely missed when hes not been playing. Osman has scored a lot of important goals for us, hes a good little player, he doesnt get knocked off the ball as much as you might read in the daily rag. MikeO
Kissock in the SPL team of the week... Midfield: John Paul Kissock – Gretna Another on-loan player in the side, and another on-loan player who has excelled in the SPL. Kissock, contracted to Everton, may have had to wait his for his chance but he has shown why he is on Davie Moyes books. Playing behind the striker he is difficult to pick up and floats around the pitch causing endless bother to the opposition defenders and Saturday was no different. A constant threat to Jim Jefferies side that never stopped working, he must be one of the few good things to have come out of Gretna’s season in the top flight.
