JoeQuince
http://www.bbc.com/sport/0/football/25944411 werent we linked with this guy too? Sounds like a good bet for 11m! He sounds a bit hot and cold. Four hat tricks, it says. Which means that more than half of his goals came in 4 of his 23 appearances. Also, from what others have said, he doesn't really seem to work too hard.
Quinn31
Newcastle nabbed Borussia Monchengladbach striker Luuk de Jong on loan... Wish we could've got in on that.
Lowensda
He's been massively inconsistent since his move from Twente. He'll be hit or miss.
peoman7
Back on the Neil Taylor rumour, apparently they had doubts over his medical history due to his recent serious injury and opted out instead to call Garbutt back. Baftemi Gomis - late bid gone in apparently again from the same person so could be bullshit as the Neil Taylor one didnt even surface. A striker would be a welcome addition but need a centre mid I reckon.
Steve_E
He's been massively inconsistent since his move from Twente. He'll be hit or miss. He's been massively shit since his move. Would have preferred him over an injured Traoré though.
Cornish Steve
He didn't say a fee but guessing it will be a small fee as he isn't being played? Wasn't true for Mata.

GoodisonRoad
I hope we are keeping an eye on Doumbia from CKSA Moscow. Im sure he's on a free in the summer. His record speaks for itself; http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Seydou_Doumbia Not a great record for Ivory coast and i know he hasnt played in the best of leagues before but i'd still take a punt on him personally. Think he would fit it in to our style of play a lot more than Lukaku does as well. Ten, are you still keeping tabs on Baakali and Depay from PSV? Havent been able to see much of them this year. Edit: Seems he is free next summer...http://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/en/seydou-doumbia/profil/spieler_75287.html Should still mean he'd be available for a reasonable fee this summer though. Maybe McGeady would also be able to give the manager an opinion on Doumbia having played in the same league. If he's free then it could be a good shout at a low risk

I've been saying I would love Doumbia here for awhile. I really think he has what it takes to make it in the PL, and I believe that we would be the best club suited for him. Ant1979
The shite have been linked with Bojan Krkic. At £5m would anyone take a punt on him? I would at that price, but it could be made up nonsense. Ajax have the option of a second year's loan next season, if they don't take it I'm sure Roberto could work his magic with his Catalan mates at Barca
Sibdane
Not sure. He's only about 5'7" right? Not that height is important in the success of a footballer, but I think it's helpful given the the physical play of the PL. He's always seemed like he's easily pushed around. On the other hand, 5m is not a bad fee for a player from the same school of football as our manager.
Ant1979
Yeah he's pretty small. Guess it depends where he would be played, think he can play on the wing or through the middle, but if he's more of a number 10 then we have Ross for that. And got enough wingers too really. I suppose there are a few small number 9's out there, Defoe, Hernandez, etc. If he can up his goal ratio he might be worth a shot

JoeQuince
Let's throw all of our money at bringing in Julian Green. Lowensda
Martin Hinteregger - Doing really well at Salzburg. Left footed/sided centre back, would be a PERFECT match for Stones. They're practically identical in playing style. He's tall, physical, got a good touch, composed...he'd be ideal. Apparently Liverpool are sniffing, looks not too dissimilar to Sami Hyypia.
