Peter H
We apparently have 6.2 mil as thats what we apparently bid for M'Vila. 6 months left on his contract, could we get Gomis for it?

c1982
We won't pay £3.5m for Diame when we could have had him for free in the summer. I like him but rumours are he has heart problems.
Lowensda
Someone i'd love for Everton to have looked into, would be Afriyie Acquah. Potential to be one of the best players in the world (you heard it here first). Joined Palmero this year on a two year contract (part-ownership and all that crap some foreign leagues do). http://www.goal.com/...-afriyie-acquah Gone to Hoffenheim http://www1.skysports.com/football/news/11865/8434636/Hoffenheim-have-snapped-up-Afriyie-Acquah-from-Serie-A-outfit-Palermo Then he'll go on to big things being in the Bundesliga and more than likely, being incredible. c1982
A player I can see us trying something for is Ricky van Wolfswinkel. If a loan or staggered payment is a possibility he seems to fit the bill!

Lowensda
I want Jackson. Not Michael. Martinez. Late bloomer who scores for fun, Porto sound like they're willing to listen to offers.

JoeQuince
I would love to have him here, as long as he stays in the box. He seems a Jelavic type though, and with our play not fitting a target man at present, I fear we would ruin him.
Zoo
Jackson Martinez is a quality player but it will never happen. I've seen him play for FC Porto many times and he's always doing well, I doubt they'll let him leave for a decent price.

Lowensda
He'd cost a bomb (RVW). He's one of their best players, top scorer as well isn't he? Cost next to nothing when they bought him, he's already paid that fee back. I'm waiting for Labyad to dominate at Sporting, one of my 'Ones to watch' for 2011. Peter H
Martinez and Wigan have given up on Aiden McGeady. Anyone know what he would be worth? Would absolutely love it if he came to Everton. Been linked before. This was published earlier on skysports: Wigan boss Roberto Martinez is ready to pull off a coup by signing winger Aiden McGeady from Spartak Moscow for £5million, according to the Daily Mirror. At 5 million? Seems cheap? Edited January 31, 2013 by Peter H

MikeO
BBC Sport chief football writer Phil McNulty "I've been told Everton "remain active on a number of fronts" as the 11pm deadline approaches. As we reported last night Sevilla's Alvaro Negredo remains their top target but hearing they are in the market for another, as yet, unnamed La Liga player." Steve_E
Could the unnamed La Liga player be Ruben Castro?
Lowensda
That's what the reports of a backup are. Wouldn't want him really. Don't rate Castro that highly. Rather we go for Gameiro.

JoeQuince
I don't mind Castro, though I'd much prefer us to go for Benat at Betis, can't see that though I like Etxebarria, too. He'd be cheaper than going for someone like Negredo, and he's only 25. Problem is, he's basically Osman's size or smaller and we need to go the other way with size in our midfield. JoeQuince
If we're grabbing a Spanish striker, I want Rodrigo. And he should be available for around what we can afford (I think).
