They have appealed though, but not sure how likely they are to overturn it. Didn't a CL team get banned afew years ago, Barcelona or someone? Thought they still made signings in that time. Think all the three big Spanish teams have all been sanctioned in recent years actually. Daft thing is as far as Chelsea are concerned they'd still be free to recall players from loan, and they currently have 41 players out; so although a ban would stop them bringing in big money signings they'd still have ample opportunity to bring in fresh blood. markjazzbassist and Aidan
c1982
The appeal should allow them to sign this summer while still pending. I don’t think Chelsea will sell regardless - with Cahill going and Christiansen wanting away - Luiz probably only has another 2 years at this level... I see Zouma getting a chance there. markjazzbassist

I don’t purely because they will want to spend once the ban gets postponed, like Barca. If anything it will give us a bargaining chip to get him cheaper
Finn balor
They could just recall half the players they have out on loan to get by

Gwlad
He says his aim was to come, play and improve himself. He has, so I think they'll hang on to him unfortunately.
markjazzbassist
He’s better than every CB they have I said it before and I’ll say it again I’m not surprised at all. He will be their first choice CB next year.

He's obviously not wanted, they just want to make sure they have enough players to get by. Matt

c1982
Signed a 6 year contract before his Stoke loan so 4 years left and there were quotes when he joined us that he still saw his future at Chelsea. Unless their transfer ban is lifted, I don’t see us signing him. pete0 and markjazzbassist

Finn balor
All depends on who the manager is but they have an aging back line. If he’s guaranteed game time I can see him going back to Chelsea. I’m sure brands will have other options. Ake at Bournemouth I like but will cost probably more than Zouma

If the reason they won’t sell him is the transfer ban then a request to leave isn’t going to change a thing. The ban is still there, they still won’t want to sell any players that they can use. c1982
Rudiger’s just had surgery on his knee so will be in rehabilitation probably going into next season - this deal is looking less likely by the day sadly!
Aidan
If Zouma forces a move he should be allowed to leave. Sadly, I don't think he will.
Finn balor
Doesn’t seem the type of lad to do that but the loan has put him in the France squad and he seems to have enjoyed his time. If Chelsea have the ban and hazard goes I don’t think we will be a million miles away from them next season markjazzbassist
Matt
His video on the Everton FB page seems like a goodbye message to me.
