And the record shirt, sleeve, and training ground sponsorships - hopefully the new ground will come with a fat naming sponsorship, as well. As for a manager, I'm pretty sure we'll be fine if we match what we paid Allardyce/Koeman and provide money to spend in the market.... FF sponsor and stadium so far the only real highlights.

Shukes
I turned it down too. well ruled myself out of the running, which is the same thing. Was moving house at the time so wouldn’t have had time to go to interviews etc.

Bill
Think I reàd somewhere that he was offered the job till end of season but he wanted longer which was why he ruled himself out. After the Silva job fell through he accepted when they offered him a longer contract. I think .

Hey - you never called it an interesting stat until Matt plagiarized!!

We started to see progress with our play but still made silly mistakes to concede goals. But we looked capable of scoring. Under Sam, there were early moments when we saw progress, but then we seemed to clam up and regress again. The argument could be that his early success was more down to Unsworths work, and that recent results are more inline with Sams style. Well never know because Unswoerh was always going to be temporary. We can give our opinion on how we personally thought it could turn out, but we would be naive to think it’s anymore than that. What we need to do, is give Sam a chance to get his own players in and see what happens then. He may surprise us! He may be exactly what we expect! There's absolutely no way I want to see him bring in his own players. Bring through more of the youth and/or allow Steve Walsh to bring in one or two. Crooked Sam should have no part in that decision, since he's a stopgap manager only.

Here are the stats for Koeman, Unsworth, and Allardyce. Koeman: Played 9, Win 2, Draw 2, Loss 5, For 7, Against 18, Points 8 Average per game: For 0.8, Against 2.0, Points 0.9 Unsworth: Played 5, Win 2, Draw 1, Loss 2, For 10, Against 10, Points 7 Average per game: For 2.0, Against 2.0, Points 1.4 Allardyce: Played 7, Win 3, Draw 3, Loss 1, For 8, Against 4, Points 12 Average per game: For 1.1, Against 0.4, Points 1.7 This reveals just how awful was Koeman's record. In 9 games, his teams scored fewer goals than Unsworth's in 5 games. Both managers conceded 2 goals per game. Allardyce has returned to Koeman levels when it comes to goals scored, but his defensive record is much better. This has led to an average of 0.3 more points per game than Unsworth and a whopping 0.8 more points per game than Koeman. Although the dataset of too small to gauge accurately, how many points would each manager's teams have earned for an entire season of 38 games? Koeman: 34 points Unsworth: 53 points Allardyce: 65 points In other words, if we hadn't acted, Koeman would have got us relegated.
