It hurts watching Richarlison for Watford... £15m!!! We spent all that money on Klaassen, Sigurdsson and Rooney when there’s class players like him around - in a position we actually needed to strengthen! He’s perfect for this league - strong, fast, skilful, good work rate and he’s got the end product. Even if we do get Silva, I think he’ll have ‘better’ offers. pete0 and Bailey

Haiku
He's typical playmaker. Creative, great pass, set piece maestro and a bit slow. Reminds me of his compatriot Hakan Calhanoglu. Is a must have for free.
Popular Post Sir McGiven
4 hours ago, markjazzbassist said: where are the turks at? what position does he play and is he good? Erm, hey there! First of all, his name is Oguzhan Ah, looks like these Turks will cause a problem to Everton with their hard to pronounce names And dear Romey, contrary to my fellow Turkish members in this forum who shared their opinions about him on Cenk's thread, I am not here to tell "Everton should sign him". When Besiktas fined by UEFA (FFP regulations) we've burnt the bridges. Club asked the star players to lower their wages, kept the ones who agreed and sold the ones who didn't want it to and then with income from those transfers, we've built an army of young Turkish players. (Locals or ones who grew up in Germany, Netherlands etc.) He used to be a highly-rated future prospect and core player of that squad (Alongside with Cenk and Tore who played for Bilic's West Ham and been humiliated by the fans tbh), most of them left the team already but he is still in the squad and lost his starter position to another German-born Turkish midfielder Tolgay and Chilean honey badger Medel lately. He used to play in Arsenal's youth team before Besiktas. A squad member of Arsenal youth team which won 08-09 & 09-10 academy league, plus 08-09 FA Youth Cup. RVP was one of his best friends but they had a fight during a Besiktas - Fenerbahce derby and not talking to each other anymore, however, he used the say RVP helped him a lot back in his Arsenal experience. He used to be a hot prospect as I mentioned above, even rated higher than Cenk and clubs were scouting him a lot but his development totally reversed or stopped this year, I don't know. As I mentioned, he lost his place in the team, doesn't look sharp while on the pitch. His work rate is a joke (training I mean, not on the pitch.) and with his current shape and performance, I think it is a very risky transfer for the Everton. On the other hand, the club says that they have renewed his contract but it'll be announced during the summer as the FFP restriction on Besiktas will be ending this summer. There are rumors that it is a lie by the board to avoid supporter protest, Besiktas couldn't convince him to sign a new contract and he is unhappy and unsettled. In that case, Everton can steal him for free and give it a try. As he is from Arsenal's youth team, he knows the league as well. Let's see my Cons & Pros about him: PROS: Well known for his key passes Tend to teamwork, gets along with his teammates A very good friend of Cenk and they can understand each other telepathically (He wears no. 14 at Besiktas, i think that's why Cenk decided that number as 23 is not available at Everton) Takes responsibility when needed (Doesn't mean that it will turn into something good for the team positive but at least he tries) Have some defensive skills, at least more than enough for a No. 10 Can intercept passes smartly while the opponent trying to get the ball forward Knows the league Can speak English fluently At the end of his contract, can be free in the summer Captain for the Besiktas and in the captain list of the national team. I think it means his influence is not bad Accurate passes Vision, can see empty spaces, encourages wingers or strikers to run and kills it with a tailored pass. CONS: Terrible finishing Terrible shooting outside the box Lack of pace (Even in the Turkish League) Set pieces are average Strength is not the word that can be used to define him No sign of improvement than what he is right now, in the future Not a consistent performer at all. He can lose it in any minute, in any game Not this year but the last 2 championships that Besiktas won, he was the star midfielder of the squad. He helped the team a lot. But, that Besiktas I mentioned here used to play Barça kind of passing style football in a very attacking shape. Besiktas' tactic has been modified this year due to different squad chemistry, he couldn't adapt, lost his place in the team and now struggling badly. I am not sure at all, to be honest. If I were Walsh or Allardyce, I would give it a try as long as I get him on a free transfer. At his prime, he may worth more than Cenk but with a performance like this year, doesn't even worth 10 million pounds. So, to avoid the risks, better to have him if he is free otherwise a great risk. Sad but true... P.S. I've just seen the scouting video of him here, one correction, he is terrible as DM IMHO. The kid doesn't have enough defensive skills for that specific position and lack of pace. Still, the video shows a bunch of good memories of him. His prime time, killer passes, good attacking movements etc. nutmegwolf203, markjazzbassist, Sibdane and 3 others

Sir McGiven
Well, according to the Turkish media; Quote - He has signed a new contract with Besiktas - He will have 12m. euro release clause on contract if Bayern, Arsenal or Atletico Madrid bids, for the rest of the other clubs Besiktas will have right to negotiate the price. - His agent, Kees Vos, said that they have received offers from Milan, Lazio, Marseille, Valencia, and Everton. Oguzhan and he will decide on Oguzhan's future in 2 weeks.

Bill
Everton have progressed in their talks to sign Besiktas midfielder Oguzhan Ozyakup, 25, and could complete a deal for the Turkey player in the next two weeks. (Aksam - in Turkish) Also..... Everton and Bournemouth are keeping an eye on Egypt winger Mahmoud Hassan, who is nicknamed Trezeguet. The 23-year-old is on loan at Turkish side Kasimpasa from Anderlecht EFC-Paul

Maybe just Besiktas fans who still show respect to him but he lost a lot of respect for the last 2 years and in opposition to Cenk, Oguzhan is not really respected by the rival teams. It won't be like Cenk's transfer I'm pretty sure. In short, safe transfer to not be raided by Turkish fans
