MikeO
I wish they'd held it up in the right way round though It was the right way round from their side .
MC11
Winning mentality right there. Hopefully see these lads step up in the not to distant future.

Aidan
He was unstoppable when he set up Rooney's goal in the friendly. Dare I say it but he reminds me a bit of Sterling.

duncanmckenzieismagic
Lot of talk that Derby are trying to take him on a season long loan, be very surprised if we let him go though
Romey 1878
Lot of talk that Derby are trying to take him on a season long loan, be very surprised if we let him go though A loan move would be great for him but our complete lack of pace in the side means it'd be stupid of us to allow it. And depth... he is one of the few actual wingers we have. Lowensda
Shukes
Lot of talk that Derby are trying to take him on a season long loan, be very surprised if we let him go though Would be a bad move by the club. Surely he is so close to the first team already. We need him here playing for us.
Romey 1878
And depth... he is one of the few actual wingers we have. He spends so little time out wide I wouldn't class him as an actual winger.
c1982
Good little cameo today - injected much need pace and direct running. I wouldn't loan him out as I think he'll be very important here.
EFC-Paul
We need him and he's more than capable of playing first team footie
FairWooney
really hope we don't loan him out, even if he's not considered ready for regular action he has enough about him and plenty of pace to cause problems off the bench. As has been said we don't have enough pacy players to be letting him move away.
Wiggytop
We need to keep him, he brings pace in to the game which we need after watching the last two games.
captainbeaker
We really need to keep players like Lookman, especially if we get into the Europa leagues groups, he would be great on the counter attack in Europe.
Elston Gunnn
If we progress through to the EL group stage, we should keep him. If not, we should consider a loan out until January.
Shukes
Why are we considering loaning out first team players when we are trying to improve on last season?
London Blue
If we progress through to the EL group stage, we should keep him. If not, we should consider a loan out until January. If we loan him out who will provide pace and directness in the side?
Elston Gunnn
If we loan him out who will provide pace and directness in the side? My concern is that In the absence of deep runs in the EL, FA and League cups, Lookman won't get enough playing time. The only one of those competitions we'll either still be in or will have been eliminated from by the close of the transfer window is the EL. I want to see him share time in all competitions - and probably in virtually every match - with Mirallas. If that's Koeman's plan, then by all means he should not be loaned out, even for just a half-season. I hope and think Lookman has a bright future with us. He needs to play regularly, some minutes every match he's healhy.

Until Bolasie gets back Lookman and Mirallas will be the only direct, pacy players. As we have seen in the second half against Sevilla we look so much more effective when we had pace and directness in the side.

My original hypothetical situation disappears if we progress to the EL group stage, so that's an easy win-win as far as I'm concerned. I hope - I assume we almost all hope - we progress deeply into the several extra competitions, in which case we need a deep squad, definitely including Lookman. Maybe, probably, Koeman has already decided that Lookman stays, as your reference to "pace" is important. rubecula
Romey 1878
I really would consider going out and buying a pacy winger and loaning him out for the season. The lad has forgotten how to run forward.
