Newty82
We are bound to have enquired though. And with Koeman having worked with him before, and being the Dutch legend that he is, I'm sure we have past his thoughts. But no doubt the RS have their foot in there. Liverpool would never go back on a promise tough would they? “Liverpool Football Club would like to put on record our regret over recent media speculation regarding Southampton Football Club and player transfers between the two clubs. We apologise to the owner, board of directors and fans of Southampton for any misunderstanding regarding Virgil van Dijk. We respect Southampton’s position and can confirm we have ended any interest in the player.” 7th June. We'll see.
Cornish Steve
Another one who pulls the "wrong frame of mind" card to force a move. I have no sympathy whatsoever with this. It's like watching a bunch of spoilt kids throwing a tantrum to get their way. http://www.bbc.com/sport/football/40682751

aaron
If you think he's going anywhere but Liverpool you are fooling yourselves. Paddock
A lot are saying it could be spent better on someone else- but who? Proven leading premier league plaer or an unknown in the league. Take into consideration that the other player would want to come, would not demand much higher wages, their club would be willing to sell and no bigger clubs are after them and all of a sudden it's not so easy to list players. Lemar is being chased by Arsenal for a supposed £45m, but like you said there's so many other factors to take into consideration
