Sideliner
Southampton is a much better organized team than we are at the moment. At home they are a tough nut to crack. We need to pull up our socks right up to our nuts if we want to get something out of this one. I see a draw at best.
Bailey
Southampton don't really score and don't really concede too many chances either. Has 0-0 written all over it!
Palfy
Think we will get another footballing lesson from a very organised team, who will have been waiting for this one, they may not be that prolific up front but they have enough fire power to give our fragile defence problems. I can see us going down 3-1.
c1982
They're in Prague on Thursday so hopefully that will be a factor that benefits us.

Aidan
Haha sounds about right! Has anyone not scored for 1000s of minutes of football? Tenner on first scorer.
Elston Gunnn
http://www.espnfc.us/club/everton/368/blog/post/3004234/lifeless-everton-need-to-change-as-ronald-koeman-faces-southampton "Lifeless"? Well, against Chelsea and first half last week, yes. As Southampton played in Prague last night, Everton should have an energy-advantage on Sunday. Our players - and manager - have no excuse if we look "lifeless" in what should be an emotional match.
rubecula
I would love to be confident again but recent games have kicked all confidence out of me I am afraid. I feel as though we will get a lesson here.
Eric
There's a thrashing in store for us here.
Palfy
It's not all doom and gloom mate, we've just signed Laurence Stewart to the back room staff. I predict we are gonna go in 1-0 down at half-time, Stewart is going to digest all the data he has collected on his laptop, then tell Koeman where it's going wrong and what to do. Then second half we're going to turn it round and win 3-1.
Kev627
I think it'll be a tough game but we'll win 1-2.
Palfy
My post regarding Laurence Stewart was my attempt at being sarcastic. I know sarcasm is the lowest form of wit, and has obviously backed fired on me with Paul's reply.

London Blue
Need the performance we had 2 years ago. Must win and under Koeman I think we will win. He will know his old team and will definitely wont want to lose, so he should be able to come up with a plan to get us a win.

johnh
Hope we get a win. Son and grandson (who live in Nottingham) visited us yesterday on their way to Southampton. Grandson is 17 and is two inches taller than me, ( I am 6ft 3 inches). He takes size 13 shoes! He has nominated Liverpool Uni as his first choice, nothing to do with his season ticket at Goodison I'm sure! I keep nagging him to join Toffeetalk. Shukes
Standard line up. Would rather see Mirralas than Lennon though.
Romey 1878
So, slow and pedestrian with Lukaku isolated. Fantastic.
Palfy
We have a better chance than I fought last week, they have 2-3 key players out, but I still feel our line up is lacking any inventiveness, and we will have a big whole in midfield between Lukaku and the two defensive midfielders, unless Gana is given the freedom to play a more forward role. Let's hope we set up to take the game to them from the off.
Elston Gunnn
Koeman said in a brief pre-match interview that Southampton had difficult travel midweek, implying that Everton should be the more energetic team from the opening whistle. Yes, we should be. We'll know in the next 20 minutes.
