MikeO
Yeah I think Koeman's statement on it makes that clear (or I hope). Baines surely can't play 38 games plus all cups at his age. Leighton is a Duracel monkey, he could play 76 games if needed.

Paddock
He's a right back- I really hope we have not bought him as cover for left back. I'd sooner of given Garbutt a number.
Lowensda
I don't rate him but I like him. (the dig at Southampton has made my morning)
Romey 1878
He's a big worry defensively but I thought he was a plus offensively and really helped us out in the second half.
pete0
Looked like he hasn't been fully instructed. We had a corner and he wondered across the pitch to be the furthest player forward on the left hand side. Didn't seem to be in much of a hurry getting back into position either. Gana give him an ear full once Martina finally got back into position.

nyblue23
Played in two good crosses but otherwise looked very poor to me. Kept giving the ball away in our half.

Bailey
He'll fill the gap until Coleman is back That's the problem, he doesn't fill the gap. Rookie defending at times including heading a ball back into our own 18 yard box. Good attacking outlet but a poor defender.

StevO
The lad can cross a ball, not much else though.
Tristagi
Was very worried when he came on. Would have preferred Holgate come on tbh. Did a reasonable job. The way we were set up, that right side will be exposed against more quality teams until Coleman is back.

Good attacking outlet but a poor defender. thought was average at best but didn't think he was poor Would prefer Holgate getting some more game time if we're playing 4 at the back though. Martina might be alright as a RWB rather than a traditional RB
London Blue
Must play Holgate, going forward he is good, but defensively he is terrible.
Bailey
Just re-watching the highlights from the weekend. How anyone can say this guy did ok is beyond me. Absolutely all over the place at times, a really lazy attitude to defending too.

nyblue23
I think people were won over by the change in formation and attributed our better play in part to Martina coming on rather than just poor opening tactics.

Absolutely all over the place at times, a really lazy attitude to defending too. Been keeping quiet just in case I got it all wrong. As soon as he came in the nearly scored. Lost possession so many times, and not once did he try to get back to regain it... just jogged back into position. Last few seconds, loses position and we're only save by a world class save from Pickford. Epitome of average.

Last few seconds, loses position and we're only save by a world class save from Pickford. Epitome of average. So many have talked about his abilities on the ball, but I just don't see it. Over and over again, he lost possession in our half, and, as you say, didn't even fight to regain it. The only place he offered any quality at all was if he got the ball on the right wing, already forward, with space. I'd much rather have Holgate's solid defending and ability to retain possession rather than having Martina's liability with the slight promise of a good cross here or there. nyblue23
He was much better today. Looked class in the first half, only to unravel a bit in the second with some ill-advised runs and some poor positioning. Willing to suspend my previous judgment for another run out or two, but think I'd still rather see Kenny there.
Bailey
At times he looked really good in attack but he just isn't a very good positional defender. Against teams where we are defending lots he will be a liability.
London Blue
Great going forward, better defensively today. Still not great but if he can continue to improve in his defensive skills he will be a good player for us.
