markjazzbassist
17 goals 3 assists in 33 matches in the eredivisie last year. year before that was 11 goals 5 assists in 17 matches played in eredivisie. his returns in ligue 2 weren't great for AJ auxerre but i'm guessing it's because he was 18 and 19 years old and still growing/maturing/learning. give it a go ronny duncanmckenzieismagic
Romey 1878
One day we're actually going to sign one of these players we're linked with this summer!
nyblue23
http://www.hitc.com/en-gb/2016/07/20/report-utrecht-set-asking-price-for-24-goal-sebastien-haller-eve/ This was from two days ago; 7 million pounds doesn't seem like a bad asking price for a 22 year old capable of scoring 24 in 40 even in a much lower league. Does anyone know much more about him? Judging from a 3 minute highlight reel, seems to be a good header of the ball, confident, works himself into good spaces and a good poacher. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RgPc4HEZxC4 Too similar to Lukaku if we keep him? brisbaneblue
I think Haller would fit the 'two for every position' rule. He's reasonably tall, can dribble, a good finisher and very good in the air - if he can work on his hold-up play and put on a bit more muscle then I think he can be our number 2 Lukaku. brisbaneblue
The Chelsea game while painful to watch, was a good exercise in showing what we need to fix in our squad. If I had my way I would bring three new key players in either January or in the summer: A tall, strong, quick striker to backup Lukaku = Sebastien Haller A good young goalkeeper to replace Stekelenberg = Jordan Pickford A naturally athletic box-to-box midfielder = Youri Tielemans or Ruben Neves (although both probably too young and raw to go straight into the starting XI) IMO, of the current squad: - Browning, Garbutt, Rodríguez, Kone, Niasse, Gibson, McCarthy and Miralas should be offloaded unless they can prove their worth before the end of the season. - Barkley, Deulofeu, Besic, Tarashaj, Galloway, Holgate and Davies should be in the squad for next season based solely on their age and potential. - Joel, Lennon and Oviedo (maybe less so) are useful squad players. - Jags and Barry could be useful squad players and provide experience to the younger blokes in training. - Lukaku and Gueye should be kept at all costs. - Bolasie, Williams and Baines should stay in the starting XI. - Jury is still out on what to do with Stek, Cleverely, Valencia, Funes Mori or Coleman. brisbaneblue
