markjazzbassist
Wants out apparently. "Hey Stek, i'll drive you pal, where you wanna go?" makes sense he could start in a lower prem or championship side every week. best of luck stek. Bailey
What a shame! Must be one of the worst to where an Everton shirt and it all started off so promisingly!
nyblue23
Now that we signed Pickford, hopefully we'll be rid of him for sure. Neither Robles or he will be happy backing up a 23-year old, so I suspect they'll both go. Hopefully we can command at least a couple million pounds for Robles, but I'll just be happy to have Stek's wages off.

Shukes
All the reports about Pickford were false.... it was really Stek we were trying to tie down! Rumour has it, it’s 130k a week. Newty82 and Bailey

markjazzbassist
honestly he's like any other backup, goes through periods of doing really well (when we first signed him he started the season off amazing) and then periods of inconsistency. joel was the same. this is smart, we have keeper locked up (starter and backup) for a while now, focus on other more pressing positions. Not happy having Stek as the backup and would have preferred to have given Hewelt a chance to prove himself, but Joel was always going to go. Newty82
You'll only ever get half decent back up GK's. Usually either oldies or younguns learning their trade. markjazzbassist

StevO
No issue with this at all. As he says himself, he knows his role in the team. We can’t sign a keeper to compete with Pickford and be happy to sit on the bench. markjazzbassist

Not think Hewlet is better playing every week for the U23s than being on the bench? They won’t have him doing both. They also might just not rate him that highly. Training with the first team and experiencing the bench during a senior game would also be very good for the lad, not to mention a confidence booster.
