Mirallas
I think France, Switzerland, Wales, England, Germany, Spain, Sweden, Belgium, Austria and Iceland will do well. I just realized how onesidedly western-European this list is.

Hafnia
Should I add a poll asking if we should pull out? Blimey don't anyone mention "getting off at Edge hill" Next thing we know we will be arguing about the feasibility of having a stadium in Ormskirk based on rail network. Lowensda
And this is happening to/ I don't care if he is playing for a team in the tournament, I have decided that under no circumstances (apart from this post) can his name be muttered, mentioned or alluded to. For all of you own sanity, I now declare this thread officially the first (of many)....

I just realized how onesidedly western-European this list is. What would be your Belgium starting XI? I'm worried about the defense after all of those injuries. Think I would opt to just play Alderweireld and Vertonghen in the centre and rely on their partnership to carry lesser players at full back. I would go for: Courtois Ciman Alderweireld Vertonghen Lukaku Nainggolan Dembélé Carrasco De Bruyne Hazard Origi

Lowensda
Especially being in France. Saw a French guy had been arrested in Ukraine with an armoury of weapons destined for attacks at the Euros.
Paddock
Yep, the fact it's in France just magnifies it. They also know the eyes of the whole world will be watching the tournament. We were in Amsterdam the day of the Brussels attacks. I know it wasn't close in proximity but it was still not nice the whole city was edgey. Cornish Steve
I hope I'm wrong here but I have a horrible, horrible feeling it's going to get a terrorist attack of unprecedented scales. My oldest son (who occasionally posts to these forums) has been spending time these last two weeks in Paris and Brittany (another Celtic nation). He flies home tomorrow, and I must confess that I will breathe a slight sigh of relief. In the end, though, we cannot let terrorists change our way of life or undermine our hopes and dreams. Cornish Steve
I'd like to see Wales, Ireland, and Northern Ireland get past the group stage, although Wales are the only one of the three with a realistic shot at it. What would be especially delicious is Wales beating England to make it through. As for surprise team, Iceland already surprised people by getting this far, and they've been threatening for a while. Since they'll face little pressure, they have a genuine chance of getting out of the group. Sweden might pull a surprise, which would leave either Belgium or Italy in the lurch - probably the former since they never seem to gel as a team. Predicting the final, Germany will beat France. I bet you will and for what it's worth I hope he gets home safe also. You are right as well, we cannot let these terrorists dictate to us or make us not do what we want to do but that's easy to say when it's not your loved one out there. I hope all the home nations get battered. They all despise England and want us to get beat so the feeling is reciprocated. I'm not overlybarsed about England either tbh. I'm not overlybarsed about England either tbh. Hope we smash England and they go out in the group stages. There. I said it. Same applies to Northern Ireland who I find worse than England at times with their Union Jacks and God Save the queen. I hope Welsh and English fans behave themselves though. Only takes a few idiots to kick things off and in the smallest city of the tournament they're gonna be everywhere. I hope the police are on the ball or it could get very ugly which would be a massive shame.
