Matt
Erm, no?! Higher the quality of player = Higher transfer fee = Higher wage. I think it's all relevant. Andy Carroll Your argument is void.
Matt
I mean that players prices will rise ridiculously. Players wages will be what tempts the higher players to a club and shows intent. Palace can buy a player for 40m But they can't pay a player 100k. why can't they?

Aidan
The way the market is at the moment this £100m "war chest" won't be going far. Ighalo £37.5m rejected! My word! I'd put that down to stupidity from Watford rather than a rise in the market.

StevO
It's true though Mark. Since UEFA caved in with PSG they can no longer enforce it on anyone. We have lots of new regulations in the premier league to stop teams going mad with the new money, and they are pretty tight. They will be an issue, but FFP isn't. StevO
I know you do mate. I'm concerned about the prem rules though, I don't want to lose Rom or Stones but if we want new players we'll probably have to lose one of them.

Isaiah
This may have been brought up already, but I've just been reading the United forum Redcafe (about the players set to be shipped out from there following the signings of Ibrahimovic, the unspellable Armenian guy, and a few others that are due to come in) and it got me thinking - over the years Everton have had a good relationship with United and it's seen us pick up some great buys, from Kanchelskis up to (dare I say it?) Cleverley. How do you think, will that relationship now go to shit with Mourinho in charge? He seems like the kind of person who holds a grudge. Will the John Stones shenanigans mean he'll be a prick if and when we decide to make a bid for any of their players, for example Mata (who looks certain to be off-loaded according to their fans)? Lowensda
Mourinho has (believe it or not) been rather favourable toward Everton. So I don't think anything will have changed.

If witsel was really really good he would cost double. If mata was really young he would cost alot more. The prices are in line imo
StevO
Too old? at what? 28? I'm 32, I'm finished! To be serious, Barry is 34 (I think), i'm sure we could get three or four good years out of Witsel. The way Mata plays its not like hes going to lose pace. We only need to be looking at getting three years out of these lads. Lowensda and Matt
