Matt
Don't think Davies is a leader. Passionate but I get the impression he'd be the last to speak out about something. Lookman is timid. Pickford, absolutely. Keane, Pickford, Sneiderlin, Rooney are the only 4 I feel could be worthy captains. I know some like Williams and Klaassen have been captains respectively but in this current squad, I don't think they'd be outspoken enough imo. Coleman should be added, and if Besic was fit long enough I'd throw him into the mix too (personality wise, don't think he should be a contender). Hafnia
Don't forget Davies is only 19. He's been called a born leader... captained England under 16's 17's and 19's. You don't have to be an animated Tommy gravesen.... lead by example and know what you are meant to be doing. Quinn31
Having been a part of several organizations, not every good leader I've encountered is the type-A, dominant, outspoken type. A leader must command respect, set an example, and be able to convey their message/values but that can take shape in many forms. Lowensda
This is how I feel watching him play. Love the guy already. Great in the air. Great at reading the game. Strong. Deceptively quick. Now get VVD and that's a central partnership to behold!!

Aidan
Easily our best signing so far. Agreed him and Pickford will be our top 2 IMO Edited August 7, 2017 by AidanLewis

Aidan
He seems to be very switched on, and a professional. Knows what's best for his career, moved away from United to get first team football and develop, then moved here and in the process (depending on the level of interest) ignored interest from the Shite and Man U - because he knows he will play more here. I have no doubt in my mind that in the next few seasons he will develop into one of the league's best centre halfs, and I don't think there will be many more suited to leading the England defence in a few seasons. Aidan
Basically he's looking to play regularly and leave us once he reaches that "next level". Why would any player join any team to prove their worth and not want to progress and make it to the highest levels of the sport?

MikeO
Very solid. Wish Jags and Williams were as commanding Jags distribution was horrific, think someone suggested in the match thread he must've been drunk, shocking. Defended reasonably well though. nutmegwolf203
Jags distribution was horrific, think someone suggested in the match thread he must've been drunk, shocking. Defended reasonably well though. He was shocking and you could see his confidence was lacking; saw him hanging his head a lot. At least he's aware. He doesn't have the ball playing ability of some of the other players and I think he knows it.
pete0
Jags distribution was horrific, think someone suggested in the match thread he must've been drunk, shocking. Defended reasonably well though. He looked very awkward on the left side. Towards the end he got caught completely flat footed and the Stoke player may walked past him unchallenged. I said Schneiderlin looked like he'd been on the pop in the match thead. First 20 minutes Keane was really poor on the ball as well. Looked like it was gonna be a repeat of the European games we've just had.

Worked at Blackpool FC the season they came up to the Prem and absolutely loved him. Finn balor
I think Keane is a going to be an England regular. Better all round player than stones in my opinion.
