MC11
I don't see why we are bringing lennon in (if we are) stock piling wingers.
SimonButtle
Welcome, Leandro! U21s, 1st team? Don't care so long as you wear that shirt and put your heart and soul into each performance. Agreed 100%, people seem to forget that this is the most important thing of all for a player(and scoring goals)
MC11
Martinez seems to rate him a bit. Saying a lot more positive things than he did about Henen.
StevO
If we are stock piling wingers, I could only guess it's due to the nature of wingers dipping in and out of form. We've got Kev, Gerry & McGeady, plus Cleverley playing wide left, I think we could do with one more really. Lennon will do for me, with that mystery number ten too. All the best Leandro, hope you're a star in the making.

Quinn31
£500,000. Maybe he's highly raw but shows some real potential and we picked him up given how cheap he was (under the radar?)?
markjazzbassist
£500,000. thanks mike. so we're at 5.5m so far bringing in tom, gerry, leandro, holgate and henen. Edited August 28, 2015 by markjazzbassist

MC11
I still think mirallas may go otherwise I don't see Lennon coming in. Would be strange if he goes!
msloan78
Wouldn't be too shocked if Mirallas turns up in the 10 role for us if I'm honest. Reckon he's got the tools to do it aswell!

Romey 1878
Well we don't need Lennon if Mirallas isn't going. Our manager might think differently.
markjazzbassist
Our manager might think differently. Also I think he's trying to keep Gerry so doesn't want to play him too much to get the exposure where barca would want him back. Subs and cups and Lennon cleverly and mirallas rotate for starters. StevO
I don't get why we wouldn't need Lennon if Mirallas stays. Realistically, when has Mirallas ever put five good games together on the bounce? When has Gerry put a consistent run together? No one counts McGeady as an option anyway. One more option, Lennon, would be ideal for me. The lad is risk free and will always cause problems. He will at least add more serious competition for places to keep them all on their toes. How many times have we all complained about not having a big enough squad? Edited August 29, 2015 by StevO
EFC-Paul
Well we don't need Lennon if Mirallas isn't going. Mcgeady could possibly leave we've apparently already knocked a bid back from Celtic I'd have Lennon back he proved when he was here how effective he can be and as Steve says we need depth and Lennon would add quality to the side something we should all want Edited August 29, 2015 by EFC-Paul

StevO
I think we'll get him, cheap, as soon as this game is out of the way. It wouldn't surprise me if the fixture list was different we would already have him.

Romey 1878
Lennon would be welcomed back open armed by me. As long as he's not the only player brought in. Desperately need that creativity in the middle of the park.
Hafnia
Really hope this lad brings something now, we need a player to light a fire under Roms arse. If Kone gets injured we are screwed.
chicagoblue
South American football expert Tim Vickery on BBC Radio 5 live: "It seems to me that Roberto Martinez has a blind spot when it comes to bringing players straight in from South America. "He dropped an almighty brick with Mauro Boselli at Wigan. He was their record signing, and I don't think he scored a Premier League goal for them. I had a Premier League manager get in contact with me and say: 'Should I buy this player?' There were agents touting him around. I said: 'Don't go anywhere near him. He can't do it in the Premier League and he won't.' Martinez, for all his wisdom and experience, didn't see that. "You'd have thought, after an experience like that, he'd have been scarred for life, but he's gone back twice. He's brought in Leandro Rodriguez from River Plate in Montevideo, and said that he's played lots of games in a really competitive league. Well if he thinks the Uruguayan league is competitive, he's living in cloud cuckoo land."
