Quinn31
Being linked with him. I'd be surprised if we brought him in because I believe he is plays the exact position as Barry and I presume is on a pretty big wage.
Romey 1878
A defensive midfielder is not what we need, and he's a pretty poor one at that. Quinn31
markiediow
Be a good 3rd signing. Can play Denfensive Midfield, Box to Box, Centre Back and I think he may have played as a full back when needed. Played in all those positions I think for Arsenal when required. Think your right though, should be played in the Barry position. Very good cover for many areas we have no cover for (Centre Back and Right Back) and can replace Barry if he's tired due to his age. captainbeaker
Good player can be the centre half cover as well if stones stays and cover for Barry, who has staretd the season well but may not keep the form up all season.

markjazzbassist
No thanks, we already have 6 that play central midfield. Barry McCarthy Gibson Besic Barkley cleverley. Sign a striker

Sign a striker he is better than all them bar McCarthy, agree not a priority area but I would be strengthening IMO, he can also play CB. StevO
I don't think he's better than Barkley, and from what I saw at West Ham I wouldn't have him over Barry either. Forget him as a centre half, if we want someone to cover that position but a centre half! Not a midfielder three years past his best. Vranny
I'm in agreement with those saying there's no point bringing him in as a utility/squad player. He'll be on much too high a wage for that sort of role. I actually thought he did alright from what I saw of him at West Ham though. He'd probably be the most creative CM in our squad along with Gibson if he signed. There's just no real reason to go after when we're much more desperate for CB cover and a No. 10/wide playmaker type player.

Paddock
I'd of had him if the wages were right AND he was just an extra rather thn on of the infamous 3. If he was oneof the 3 I'm made up he's not signing.
chicagoblue
Not a surprise really. A number of reports had even hinted that our "interest" was just to get WH to pay up. With Gibbo's off-field issues coming to the fore though, I'd rather have Song on 50k, at least gives us some athleticism and steel in the midfield, decent footballer too. markjazzbassist
Very interested to see how Bilic does with this team. Top 5 with all the talent they brought in. Anything less and they'll be disappointed I gather.
