MikeO
Well, the Echo gives Lukaku, Kone, Barkley, and Galloway a 7, so clearly not everyone agrees Rom played crap. Mirallas, on the other hand... http://www.liverpoolecho.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/everton-fc-2-2-watford-9818460 TIM HOWARD 7 The American had precious little to do and couldn't really be faulted for the goal. Did they forget the second one, which I thought he should've got closer to.
MikeO
Also, this is just wrong, maybe mixed up the players... BRYAN OVIEDO N/A No real time to make an impact STEVEN NAISMITH N/A Lively and linked up well.
pete0
Offside??? pete it's a joke! I've seen 15 year old kids who work lines better. No diagonal runs, no check backs. Hejust runs straight line. It's not good mate. I see a different player, runs the channels and gets back far too much trying to be involved. Frustrates me when he's looking forward and goes so often without even a sniff from our midfielders to pass it through. Sounds as if we're agreeing to disagree any how... Until next Saturday
c1982
Got to say I do agree on the offside issue - it's not often Rom's fault, it's the speed/awareness of his service. That's why we need a number 10 so desperately. It'll be interesting to see the stats if/when we get this much needed playmaker.
Elston Gunnn
Well, on the OS, none other than John Stones is MOTM. Huh? Yes, except for the howler, his play was solid, excellent at times. But the howler surely ought to have eliminated him from consideration.
Keith B
Don't think Howard had much to do; not sure the goals were on him. But I do agree that Galloway looked good. I was happy with his performance and think he's a promising player.

c1982
Credit where it's due to Kone's goal and assist. Hopefully he'll be a useful asset this season. Romey 1878 and Matt
StevO
Went with Cleverley for actually wanting the ball. Barry was a close second for the same reason.
Elston Gunnn
Kone for me. Cleverley, Galloway, Barry, and Stones played well. One thing about Kone's goal that impressed me. His last stride, maybe 2, were accelerated and very long, to beat defender. The strike itself was taken first-class. We can only hope that was the real Kone, and not the other guy we've been watching.
Btay
I went Kone, solely because after missing that header, he could have hidden from the game. Instead he wanted it and got us back in the game twice. Delighted for him. efc1111
duncanmckenzieismagic
Care to give more insight Dunc? I'm pretty certain there were others responsible for this shite, McCarthy and Barry to name but if people are gonna bleat about supposed lack of service as an excuse for being shite for one player then I'm interested to know how he did aside from that. How is he supposed to put the ball in the net if we never get it up to him?

Hafnia
How is he supposed to put the ball in the net if we never get it up to him? It would help if he controlled passes for a start, it would help if he wasnt offside so often. But hey - it's Romelu Lukaku, it's the teams fault not his. MC11
The problem for me is everytime the ball goes into him I expect us to lose possession, he was really that bad.

Duncan his lack of control is a massive concern. Does every pass need to be on the deck to him? Not good.
Hoof_It_Nev
Been given to Stones on the OS. Haven't seen the match or highlights, but certainly goes against what has been said here. Trying to make him feel wanted or something?
