MikeO
Even nicer when the suns out. Really good nightlife too. I had a girlfriend years ago who had some gay mates down there, so I know/knew all about that side of it. Was interesting.
milesey05
Martinez has learnt fuck all from last season. Still playing players out of position. Start with 2 natural wingers it isn't hard. Ossie will be on at half time.... On the bloody wing.
Lowensda
Good - Our back 4 look really good still, Cleverley is trying hard and is everywhere. Bad - McCarthy, Naismith, Deulofeu's fitness Ugly - Kone (everything), Barry (is walking and adding absolutely nothing to attack or defence)

Ossie will be on at half time.... On the bloody wing. The thing is he is making cleverly look like a bellend. Like Moyes did with Naisy. Like I mentioned I don't rate Cleverly but you can't buy a player and start him off where he isn't used to playing. It's going to knock his confidence when he doesn't perform and when fans get on his back because of it.
Lowensda
Another thing that's annoying me. We pass to a player who's further back than the passer himself, only for when the recipient has the ball, the original passer runs backward to offer himself. Why do the players not pass, then make a run? We do we always have to play safe?

c1982
We need better than Kone and Naismith. I'm grateful for what Naismith adds but we do need better.
Lowensda
We need better than Kone and Naismith. I'm grateful for what Naismith adds but we do need better. Absolutely. For me personally, as well as those two, we need a midfield defensive engine, like Matic, who can be the rock in the middle. Keep up with pacey players, squash larger forwards and also distribute play better than Barry.
MikeO
What the gay part of town Mike? ;-) No idea, don't remember. They lived in Westbourne though I remember that, and there was an illegal club called Triangle which was mad.

The triangle is where the gay community meet up. I have had some cracking nights up that way so not knocking it.
bassman
I was going to ask what the hell all this talk of gay clubs has got to do with the game, But you know what? its more interesting than the shite Everton are serving up, pre season friendly or not!! JoeQuince
I feel like every player on our team has a double-digit IQ.
MikeO
Why was our goal disallowed incidentally? Half time show here was in Arabic, lino flagged but it wasn't offside. What did I miss? We didn't appeal. Crap.
JoeQuince
Fuck all of this. Nobody making a run. Everyone content to camp out around their box and think of whether or not they left the stove on at home.
Aidan
Joel again has to make some sort of effort. Granted he saw it late but he was rooted.
MC11
McCarthy. Brilliant for their second.
Lowensda
But no one is shutting the players with the ball down. No harrying. No attempt to put the players off. No pressure. Its going to be like last year. Boring in attack. Poor in possession. Clueless with the ball. We'll rely on mistakes from the opposition and set pieces. Winner. markjazzbassist
Granted it's preseason but this is shit. Time to turn it off and enjoy my day.

Keith B
How is Kone even possible? A striker who can't strike? Unbelievable.
Lowensda
Best play of the game. Created by our centre back. With an awful attempt by Kone. Pretty much sums us up today.
jofanon
Kone is the worst striker in the world. I was starting to get worried that some positivity was creeping in. Not to fear nothing has changed. Martinez still hasn't got a f*cking clue. I don't care if its a preseason. Chance to win something. Awful.
