Finn balor
Think it was in the World Cup two years ago where I saw him and was outstanding one of the players of the early rounds. He is really really similar to payet. Could be our silva/coutinhio

Peter H
With that kind of money they can buy a whole new starting xi Why dont we do that instead then? If you can get a whole starting XI for under 40m euro?
Makis
Are you comparing PL with the Portuguese league? Jesus, I'm not sure you are serious. By your logic no-one could ever buy anyone half decent.
markjazzbassist
Why dont we do that instead then? If you can get a whole starting XI for under 40m euro? That's like 35m pounds I think. For Portuguese league that's a ton of money. They can buy up all the young talent in Portugal and stock their team. In the premier league that buys one player. Big difference in money and leagues. Peter H
But in that case we should also find those cheap portugese players. Porto would do well in the PL. Dont over sell the league.

Hafnia
I think the whole point is that we can't filter players.... we try at youth level then give them a go. Ultimately when other teams filter players and they show class it's when you need to ££££ for them. Edited August 28, 2016 by Hafnia

Vranny
Why dont we do that instead then? If you can get a whole starting XI for under 40m euro? It's an incomparable situation. The Portugese league has much looser regulations regarding transfers for non-Euro players. Brazil and Argentina is bursting at the seems with young, cheap, unproven talent, but English leagues are effectively only able to transfer in the proven ones (e.g. players from these countries making a certain percentage of appearances for the national team, or if their transfer cost is over £10 mil I believe?). Porto and Benfica get a lot of their talent on the cheap this way. Their league also allowing third party ownership of players is another huge difference over the PL. Leads to a lot of teams only needing to pay, say half the amount when bringing in their players. Makis

Aidan
Ross could do with being mounded to play deeper. Nooo! Please god, no. That'd literally be the worst thing that could happen to him as a player, and wouldnt benefit everton as a team.

JoeQuince
looks like ross will be relegated to the bench shortly. Brahimi plays on the wings, too (primarily, he's been used as a left winger). I'd say this affects Mirallas more than Barkley. But, the more important point is that we are building a squad in which there is real competition for places. This (along with a striker, hopefully) should push all of our attacking players to work harder for their place in the XI. London Blue
Like Arsenal... You have no idea the stick I have been getting from Arsenal fans, stuck here in the middle of Goonerville. We are apparently an extension of their scouting network. Pity they weren't looking when we signed Nessie!

We must buy him. Use him on the left and use Mirallas as a striker. We all know that he prefers that anyway.
