msloan78
Is Mcarthy back in the mix? That midfield has the potential to be frightening.
MC11
Barkley has to play in this. Naismith is a big game player though so it's going to be a big decision for Martinez but I'd go with Barkley.

MC11
Wouldn't put it past the Merseyside Police to cause a kickoff on Saturday just so they can say "told you". They've got egg splattered all over their face atm.

Btay
can't see it easy game for liverpool tonight 3-0 Bolton have lost a couple of players in the window. Real shame that, hope they make it a contest - physically at least!
Romey 1878
can't see it easy game for liverpool tonight 3-0 Bolton have lost a couple of players in the window. Spearing left because he wasn't getting enough game time, that young lad Kellet had only started once for them after being out on loan at Plymouth. The Korean (I can't think of his name right now even though he'd been linked with us!) was away at the Asia Cup when the original tie was played anyway, so him leaving won't change anything. Hafnia
Hamstring injury for Gerrard so he doesn't get to be Mr hero on Saturday and stops the commentator doing my nut in. I wonder if sturridge holds up....
Cornish Steve
Hamstring injury for Gerrard so he doesn't get to be Mr hero on Saturday and stops the commentator doing my nut in. I wonder if sturridge holds up.... Deliberate. He saw the writing on the wall and wants to claim his last derby game was a win.

Btay
All gone wrong sadly. Bolton played well, at least they made a game of it. Without the silly red they could have gotten it to ET
FairWooney
Hope Martinez watched and learnt from that performance. Bolton pressured them from the front early on and never let them settle for too long. When they attacked they attacked quickly and in numbers. And the best chances (and goal) came from quick break with a fast ball into the box, the Liverpool defence didn't look confident in those situations at all. On the other side Liverpool continue to be very good on the counter attack themselves which is just how they beat us last season. We could really have done with McCarthy back, while Besic is playing well he doesn't hold his position well enough around the middle. I want to see Coleman and Baines getting forward but they need that cover from Barry and Besic. 1-1 is my first thought but really no idea, we could get completely turned over or we could put up a good fight and get some kind of a result. MC11
Mirallas always seems to get injured mid-game against this lot. Would love him to do the full 90 this time around.

veedublin
very nervous about this derby. So much optimism off the QPR win... Lennon coming in... McCarthy healthy... Expectations are so high. I'd love a win, but I would be really happy with a draw.

MikeO
very nervous about this derby. That's kind of how it works. Any Evertonian not nervous about any derby has no pulse. I'm a bit anxious but strangely optimistic; I don't believe that man for man they're better than us, and I really think we'll take at least a point from the game. But if I was offered one now I'd refuse it because I think we're capable of getting three.
Cornish Steve
Not sure why anyone would be satisfied with just a point. We got that at Anfield. I would expect three points at Goodison. I expect six or seven goals in this one. (Just watch it be a 0-0 draw now I've said all that!)

Romey 1878
That just means that statistically speaking we're due another one . Fuck your optimism :shaking fist: . I just hate derbies. Hafnia
Anthony Taylor owes Liverpool, I expect to see him return the favour after his poor game versus Chelsea. No doubt he's had a stinker for us but we are damn nice to refs.
Quinn31
Anthony Taylor appointed to referee the derby? I'm disgusted. The only refs worse than him in the league are Lee Mason and Lee Probert. This is above his level. Would much rather have Phil Dowd or Martin Atkinson (Despite his Derby flubup w/Rodwell)... Newty82
I think he meant Palace, but I'm not sure. Yeah I know. Just my razor sharp humour exploding into action. Getting a bit sick of the Derby build up being all about Stevie G. It's poor. 2 teams take to the pitch. And have done for over a hundred years. Yet Stevie bastard G is the main focus? Because it's his last derby? Be his last game if Besic does the right thing......
