markjazzbassist
i've got my money on hull today. that liverpool lineup looks weaker every week. glen johnson? back from the dead huh. ibe is starting again as well. for all that money they spent i think we have a better bench no doubt. MikeO
Hull win. That should see them safe. Â Hopefully a seventh place finish for Liverpool and a July start in the Europa, assuming Arsenal win the Cup, that would really piss them off! Cornish Steve
Liverpool 7th, struggling through the qualifying rounds of Europa. Everton 8th, ready and waiting to move up the table. Â It would be nice to have finished above them, but the burden of Europa qualifying, and subsequent impact on their league performance, would be some compensation, for sure. MikeO
"Liverpool have won seven of their eight Premier League games without Steven Gerrard this season (88%), compared to 40% with him (10 of 25)."
Cornish Steve
And here's another quote about Liverpool from that same article at the BBC website:Their specialist strikers (Daniel Sturridge, Mario Balotelli, Rickie Lambert and Fabio Borini) have scored eight Premier League goals between them this season. Everton's back four (Leighton Baines, Seamus Coleman, Phil Jagielka and John Stones) have scored nine. markjazzbassist

markjazzbassist
I can see Rodgers getting the sack this summer. Their fans wants Benitez back and he's gonna be available from Napoli, I think it will happen yet again.

MikeO
Gerrard... Â "I was a little bit unsure when I was about five or six whether I was going to be a blue or a red and in the 1986 Cup final when [Gary] Lineker scored I was swaying towards the Blues slightly. But then the Reds turned it around and won 3-1 and from that moment on I was always going to be a red, and the dream was always to follow in the footsteps of those players I was watching." Â By that logic (watching the 1966 final at the same age as he was) I could have ended up a Sheffield Wednesday fan ! johnh
I think Gerrard must have a relative working for the Daily Telegraph. So far this year, there have been several front page photo's of Gerrard in the Sports section. Today, there is a double page spread on Gerrard with big headline 'Gerrard already planning his Liverpool comeback'. I'm thinking of changing to the Sun - only joking.
