Elston Gunnn
No way of knowing whether he will recover in time to play in a few matches next spring. But if -- true, if -- he heals and suffers no long-term effects, he has plenty of time to establish himself as a valuable player for Everton. His contract runs to 2021. Hafnia
Horrible for the lad. Great spirit.
Paddock
Gibson MK2 Glad you called it the lad is badly injury prone. He plays 3 games and is out for weeks or months.

Hafnia
I think it's a little it unfair to compare him to Gibson. Gibson does not live the disciplined life Besic does.
StevO
And yet they still have a similar injury record.

London Blue
Can't wait to have him back, I'm looking forward to seeing him have a long run in the side. I think he will flourish under Koeman. Either way we need to change the centre midfield we have and we can see what he has to offer. Shukes
Any news on him? I feel that if fit h could be one that could change our fortunes around. High pressure football and not afraid to turn a player. But after his injuries will he still be able to press?

I think he will be gone sooner rather than later, his fitness is a big issue too. The "good" games were exceptional games IMO. Him and Idrissa together would be like a formidable defensive pairing for certain games. - he would be ideal for the pressing game. captainbeaker
He's a good player, has just been unlucky with injuries, he's never managed to get a good run of games together because of injury. As much as we could so with him back I would rather he is given time to recover and is not rushed backed. Then maybe we will see the real Besic. Bailey
He is too much of a headless chicken in open play. He can man mark, he can tackle, work hard and get things done but he doesn't have the brain to do it here. Him and Gana would be a disaster. They would turn the ball over loads but also give it away as much and both get caught chasing the ball, well Gana doing his job and Besic following the ball. A handy back up but nothing more. dlblue
MC11
Does a lot of meaningless nothing - best way to describe him. A lot of people like him because he works hard and likes a tackle but for me he doesn't benefit the team. dlblue

I've always appreciated his distribution and willingness to move forward rather than pass sidewards, but to be honest it's been so long since we've seen him play that maybe I'm cherry picking moments. Shukes
Other than his tackling, he's about the only player in the team that can turn a player. He always looks for a forward pass too. And last season he was the only player other than Baines who could slide a through ball . Matt

A lot of sideways short passes
Shukes
Not surprisingly we see things a little differently. I don't mean that disrespectfully either. When he was fit he seemed to b just what we needed, yes he lacked premier league experience, but for me he was a breath of fresh air. Aidan
Great tackler, most determined player in our squad, bags of passion, bags of aggression, has a great long pass on him and wears his heart on his sleeve. If fit, has potential to be a great player for us. One of my favorites, even if he can be uneasy at times.
nyblue23
For me, his passion and fearlessness alone are something this team is horribly lacking. The only other player with his fire in the team is Coleman, and Coleman's drive doesn't seem to be nearly as infectious. For that reason alone, I want to see him given a run when he's healthy, because right now we look like a lot of careless idiots dawdling around for a paycheck. Palfy
I like him a lot, but then I like any player who steps on the pitch and works his nuts off, and he's got ability to go with his work rate.
gethinO
I want my DM to show passion as well as ability on the ball. Unfortunately, I think he lacks in the latter.
Btay
I think he's got a lot of potential but needs to kick on this season and show development. Him and gana could be an immense midfield capable of pressing, tackling yet also distribution and dribbling London Blue
