Lowensda
Can't help but think the writers put 2+2 together and got 5. Be nice but can't help but think United will be after De Vrij post WC, Van gaal being the new manager like.
Steve_E
According to reports in the Italian press a couple of days ago, De Vrij already has a deal with Lazio and he's still waiting for the clubs to agree. Lazio's latest bid was €5,5m according to Corriere dello Sport.
BlueBlood81
As a side note to this, with Lens playing in the Ukraine & all, I think that's a market we'd do well to focus on. There are a lot of quality players over there who must be dying to get the fuck out with all the political shit that's going on. At Shakhtar alone I can think of 4 or 5 players I'd take in a heartbeat. Edited June 12, 2014 by BlueBlood81 StevO and Sibdane
c1982
Lens has looked good since coming on - fast and strong. De Vrij played well - unlucky with pen and lucky with goal!

Mirallas
On the other hand, Sergio Ramos' stock is at an all-time low! What about Piqué, I think he was the flop of the game.
Steve_E
I hope Roberto's considering Daley Blind too. He mostly plays as the holding midfielder for Ajax (rather than left back, which he used to play in previous seasons) and he's won the Dutch player of the year award. If we miss out on Barry, I wouldn't mind spending some more money to get Blind.

If we miss out on Barry, I wouldn't mind spending some more money to get Blind. I do like Blind. I watched him in an Ajax game earlier this year before knowing anything about him, and he made a huge impression. I've liked him in other games since. He was playing in the holding midfield role for that first game too, so he seems versatile.
Cornish Steve
And he made the two outstanding passes of the game.
