Lowensda
Not surprising. Form a good relationship now before we ask about the Dundee Trio!
Romey 1878
Not surprising. Form a good relationship now before we ask about the Dundee Trio! That would be the other Dundee wouldn't it? These ones are nicknamed The Dark Blues according to the article, whereas the side with the talented trio play in orange. Louis
In the January transfer window, they struck up a number of new relationships with clubs in England, such as Middlesbrough and Sunderland, who agreed to send players up on trial. “Everton said that they would love to have some of their players playing up in Scotland,” said Nelms. “And, for us, we would love to have some of them with us at Dens. It looks like Dundee want first shout on the players let go from the academy, and also Martinez wants closer links with Dundee should any promising youth players come through there. Dalziel Kane
Dundee is a boss night out, full of slags Hope we play them in a friendly pre-season Can find that in Portsmouth any given weekend. No need to venture so far north to discover such an experience. For the kids on here, Dundee had a very good team once upon a time, and even reached the semi-finals of the European Cup of all things in a narrow defeat to (eventual champions) AC Milan. Well established club side with a once impressive history, although as so often seen before, used to living in the shadow of their more illustrious neighbors. I read all the above information from the link provided.

thoward18
Can someone explain the purpose? Obviously good relations are good no matter what and I see the obvious impact for Dundee... them being able to get some of our youth guys on loan once in a while... but what's in it for us? Would they really sell a guy cheaper just because we had a handshake agreement with them? Would they even realistically have any players we would want? Would they really sell a guy cheaper just because we had a handshake agreement with them? Would they even realistically have any players we would want? What's in it for us is our youngsters can get experience in a different environment, learn what it's like to be away from home etc. There are unlikely to be many players we'd realistically want but you have to hedge your bets. McCarthy came from the Scottish league's, the other Dundee have those three players who are thought to be pretty special. So there are players up there but you have to look for them, and that's what we'd be doing with something like this.
Cornish Steve
Why did Barcelona loan Deulofeu to us? For exactly the same reason. They aren't necessarily looking to steal players from Everton. I can imagine it's primarily about finding a compatible team to allow our prospects to learn and to flourish. Guest Nikica
Yeah, Dundee United are the ones with the more talented youngsters. Ryan Gauld really does look good. "Dundee is a boss night out, full of slags B)" Might need to go up there again some time. Edited April 19, 2014 by Nikica
Scottishguy
should have linked with hearts. They are full of young talent. Youngest team in the UK. Their bench are all under 21 & first team players are 17-22 with 3 over 25.
