Louis
Everton manager Roberto Martinez is being targeted to join Glenn Hoddle on ITVs World Cup team, with the battle of the pundits set to be as competitive as the action on the pitch. Martinez, who was one of the networks Champions League analysts this week, will join their line-up in Brazil provided an agreement can be reached with ESPN to share his services. ITV will have a strong managerial presence if Martinez is added to a cast that includes Roy Keane and Hoddle, along with former players Lee Dixon and Patrick Vieira. The BBC have gone more for players in or just out of the dressing room, with Rio Ferdinand and Thierry Henry joining Phil Neville, Alan Shearer and Alan Hansen. Ferdinand, who is expected to retire at the end of the season, is a relatively unknown quantity as a pundit. But the BBC are putting a lot of faith in him, especially for insights into England. Likewise ITV with Hoddle, the only living footballer to have both played for and managed England at a World Cup. He will also work for ITV on England matches in addition to club football duties for Sky, who are surprisingly relaxed with the arrangement. Meanwhile, Andy Grays stint as a co- commentator for BT Sports FA Cup matches is over for the season. Gray will not be available for future rounds as they clash with his employer Al Jazeeras Premier League coverage. But he is expected to be involved in future collaborations between BeIN Sport and BT. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/article-2563264/ITV-want-Roberto-Martinez-join-Glenn-Hoddle-World-Cup-pundit-Charles-Sale.html?ITO=1490&ns_mchannel=rss&ns_campaign=1490
Romey 1878
Jesus, BBC's pundits are going to send the nation to sleep. Coupled with the boring football we're likely to see from England we're all going to sleep very well. pete0 and Matt
Louis
I thought along similar lines, a car crash of a line-up. I've been quite impressed with BT Sport's European Football Show, have you seen that one?

Cornish Steve
not a surprise..the man is a class act in front of a camera Not only that: He is very insightful and stands out from the crowd of other commentators. He really made a name for himself on ESPN during the previous World Cup.
Quinn31
He's pretty good commentator. Martinez knows how to use the media better than most managers.
Dalziel Kane
Jesus, BBC's pundits are going to send the nation to sleep. Coupled with the boring football we're likely to see from England we're all going to sleep very well. As most matches will be underway at gone midnight and beyond, UK time, how many people are actually going to bother watching it some would argue. Especially those with work obligations the next day. To the topic at hand, I hate ITV with a vengeance and can't abide 99 per cent of their presenters or other staff, and can only hope our manager does not get to appear on that bastard station. Sure Martinez can talk a good game, but have him do it someplace else.
Guest Nikica
He's very insightful, especially compared to most of the muppets on British TV (can't speak for ESPN USA). It's no wonder he's in demand.
