Louis Posted February 20, 2014 Report Share Posted February 20, 2014 Everton manager Roberto Martinez is being targeted to join Glenn Hoddle on ITVs World Cup team, with the battle of the pundits set to be as competitive as the action on the pitch. Martinez, who was one of the networks Champions League analysts this week, will join their line-up in Brazil provided an agreement can be reached with ESPN to share his services. ITV will have a strong managerial presence if Martinez is added to a cast that includes Roy Keane and Hoddle, along with former players Lee Dixon and Patrick Vieira. He will also work for ITV on England matches in addition to club football duties for Sky, who are surprisingly relaxed with the arrangement. Meanwhile, Andy Grays stint as a co- commentator for BT Sports FA Cup matches is over for the season. Gray will not be available for future rounds as they clash with his employer Al Jazeeras Premier League coverage. As most matches will be underway at gone midnight and beyond, UK time, how many people are actually going to bother watching it some would argue. Especially those with work obligations the next day. To the topic at hand, I hate ITV with a vengeance and can't abide 99 per cent of their presenters or other staff, and can only hope our manager does not get to appear on that bastard station.
