Lowensda
For pure effort and influence, it has to be James for me. He gets angry as well which I like. Proper fighter. Just hope the injury hasn't stalled his development.
Hafnia
McCarthy as a captain is a good shout for me too. MC11 and Matt 1
Matt
so tell me who is better suited than jags at the moment I don't think anyone is. I would personally have McCarthy or Naismith before Besic... Not to say Besic wouldn't make a good captain but his game needs to develop for the next few years Btay pretty much sums up my views. If we're looking at players who need a bit more game time, I'd say Stones longterm too Edited February 3, 2015 by Matt

Shukes
Ye definite MoM but just like a lot of Everton players this season..mainly Howard he nearly undid it all with that silly give away in his penalty area. If that would have resulted in a goal minds would be different. Fine margins.

I've always said be is by far and away the best defender at the club, class is permanent form is temporary and all that. No doubt has soon as he misplaces a pass people will be queuing up to write him off again though Quinn31

duncanmckenzieismagic
He's signed a one-year extension to his contract. :shaking fist: What are they thinking, Jags is finished! On a serious note that is really going to piss McCarthy off, unless of course he is also in talks now

Lowensda
He was dreadful for 6 months last year, back end of the season he was great, This season, he's replicating the end of the last season and then some.
MC11
I've said time and time again jags is our best defender over the years I've had to defend him on these forums. He's been a solid centre half but I always liked Lescott if I'm honest.
Sibdane
With Terry on his rapid decline, it's crazy to think that Jags and Stones might be the pairing at the back for England soon (if Roy has any sense). markjazzbassist and StevO
