Matt
Glad to hear it! Im 50/50 honestly. Of course I want it for him, but I dont want him letting excitement getting the better of him and coming back from a horrific injury too early. Toffee_in_LA
http://www.teletica.com/Deportes/52910-Bryan-Oviedo-confirma-que-se-pierde-el-mundial-.note.aspx Looks like he's confirmed that he's going to miss out on the World Cup. A bit gutted for him but at the same time, the rest will allow him to fully recover for the start of next season.
Louis
He's just confirmed it on twitter. Shame.
Romey 1878
I'm absolutely gutted for him, but I'm 100% sure it'll just make him have a better season for us now. Lowensda and Matt
Shukes
Gutted for him too. Would have been one the greatest comebacks and a really good story for him. Feeling for the poor guy.
Hafnia
For me regardless of going or not he's shown amazing courage and determination. It's the right decision though.
BlueBlood81
I echo all your sentiments, gutted for Bryan but he's made the right decision. Can't wait to see him running around in royal blue again. Think his names going on the back of my shirt next year. Oviedo Baby!!!
StevO
Gutted for the lad, at least he is young enough for probably two more world cups.
MC11
Why rush and risk your career for one tournament. He's young enough to get at least 2 other tournaments in. At the end of the day this news is better for EFC than Costa Rica. Difference is I couldn't care less what Costa Rica do in the tournament. JoeQuince
Gutted for the lad, at least he is young enough for probably two more world cups. True. But, Costa Rica getting into the World Cup isn't exactly close to an assurance. That's why this really sucks for him. Sibdane
True. But, Costa Rica getting into the World Cup isn't exactly close to an assurance. That's why this really sucks for him. Definitely. Costa Rica had a good qualifying cycle this time around, but they aren't usually up at the top of CONCACAF.

duncanmckenzieismagic
If Oviedo or Hibbert score in the derby, we better have finalized plans for a new stadium because Goodison will come crashing down in euphoria Lol I was talking about the Analfield Derby so if the stadium came crashing down that would be an added bonus, apart from the fact I would probably be inside it! Kant
Oh boy, how good it be if Oviedo comes back at the same level he was last season.
