StevO
Jimmy Mac for me. Considering he isn't there to create goals he's slowly picking up assists, and what an assist it was. Sublime pass, if Ozil made it MOTD would cream themselves! On top of that he still covers every blade of grass. Special mention to Ross. I was hard on him last week, but he's getting more and more control of the midfield as each game goes by.
markjazzbassist
McCarthy. Other than that one little blip, he was a terror on defense and assisted the rusty baines and distin. he assisted on the game winning goal, and was the engine that moved that ball up the field. signing of the year
Aidan
Ive wanted to give it to Coleman for the past three or four games now but havent, Mccarthey was brilliant, but I had to give it the Seamus.
Toffee_in_LA
Went with McCarthy for being the most composed player out on the pitch today and covering the entire field. From helping out Baines/Distin like mark mentioned to bossing the midfield as best he could to dishing out the game winning assist.
Matt
Alcaraz, with big shouts to McCarthy, Naismith and Barkley
efc1111
McCarthy for me. He was absolutely everywhere, helping to cover Barry's absence as well as linking everything together, and capped it with an excellent assist. Honourable mentions for Alcaraz, who slotted right in, and Coleman.
MikeO
Seamus....and twenty people on the coach agree with me. Sechond McCarthy with 11, Alcaraz 3, Distin & Barkley two each.

Bailey
Jimmy Mac for me. Considering he isn't there to create goals he's slowly picking up assists, and what an assist it was. Sublime pass, if Ozil made it MOTD would cream themselves! On top of that he still covers every blade of grass. Special mention to Ross. I was hard on him last week, but he's getting more and more control of the midfield as each game goes by. Spot on! McCarthy for me too, but Ross and Alcaraz were excellent. Lukaku worked hard for the 90mins as well. Seamus....and twenty people on the coach agree with me. Sechond McCarthy with 11, Alcaraz 3, Distin & Barkley two each. Well tell 27 of them that they are wrong!
Romey 1878
Coleman. Couldn't vote for McCarthy seeing as Southampton had free reign to run right at our defence down the middle of the park.
Steve_E
James McCarthy. Was everywhere and got a great assist. Special mention to Seamus Coleman (I'd like to vote for him just for that sprint he made for the full length of the pitch, shame he overran it at the end) and Ross Barkley (incredible how strong he is). Alcaraz slotted in well after not playing for months and Lukaku did a great job of running the channels. Robles had a very shaky game though, Distin was panicky a couple of times too. Baines didn't do too much, though it was great to see a good delivery from that free kick before the break as I feel his delivery hasn't always been so great this season. Lowensda
With Matt, Alcaraz for me. Little game time, returned from long injury, told to take the captains position, slotted straight in with no fuss and won many arial duels. pete0 and Quinn31
barryj
Easy one for me McCarthy, without him today it would have been a different result I'm sure.
Brett Angel
barkley was far from excellent. he drifted in and out the game for 90mins.

BlueBlood81
Seamus. Wow what a goal. He's just getting better and better. Best right back in the league this season.
Blue 250
Close between McCarthy and Coleman, McCarthy shades it. How would opponents have coped with a rampant Coleman, whilst the Baines Piennar duo were at their best.I hope they( Baines an Pienaar) can go on to recapture their best form whilst Coleman is on fire.Add in the beast that is Lakaku and it would messy for someone!
