No no no Shukes, if no-one is bidding for him it's because he is shit. You should know this by now! Romey 1878, Shukes and Matt
StevO
We should be trying to buy him, but he’s excelled at left wing so much we would still need a left back.
Bill
He's the new Gareth Bale, we should at least try to by him now, he will be worth ten times as much in five years. OK he might turn us down, but if you don't ask you don't get. We need to start building a side that's going to fill the new stadium. Btay
We need a proper LB as priority- someone who can step in to the first team and add proper quality, Danny Rose esq of even the guy from Porto ( Tello I think ) who is getting assists for fun. Sibdane
Reportedly some interest from MLS: https://www.90min.com/posts/6067594-leighton-baines-reportedly-contemplating-move-to-mls-following-interest-from-galaxy-lafc?utm_source=fotmob&utm_medium=share
markjazzbassist
That would be great to get a fee for him. He need replaced regardless.
Sibdane
According to the article we would be "willing to let him go free of charge." I don't know how much truth there is in that though.
Matt
I’d rather keep him for one more season. Anyway, the source of the article is quoting the scum so I’m assuming there’s nothing in it anyway
Makis
IMO, it would be better to keep him for one more season. Get in a new first-choice LB with Baines as backup. Loan Robinson out for another season as he's apparently not ready for the big time yet. Romey 1878

Popular Post Shukes
Would be a mistake to let him go. There’s a reason we got much better once he got back from injury.... and it should be no suprised, but it wasn’t Sam. people are watching him and not seeing him bomb forward, but missing the importance he has in slitting in and knitting our left together. Finn balor
I think he isn’t a first team starter anymore. Love the lad to bits but if it’s good for him I wish him all the best

That should have been Walsh's job. Hope Brands can actually plan ahead. IMO, there are only two reasonable choices: sign a first-choice LB and someone who can play at LB but also other positions (RB, CB or LM) as backup or keep Baines as backup. My preference would be a CB/LB player considering how many CBs we should ship out.

badaids
Get a new LB in for sure, but keep Bainsey too. Otherwise our reserve LB is Cuco; that worked out pretty well this season didn't it?

I am not surprised at all but this; Quote “There are no cars, it’s horse and cart, and it makes a big difference to them coming here. It’s said that a month here in England, with the fresh air, eating good food, puts a year on their life, which is unbelievable." Wow... Haiku
I doubt the "fresh urban air" will add anything on their lives. Having no cars is actually a benefit from my point of view. Back to basics, these people live more natural way and eat what they grow themselves. I'm stunned some people believe that junk food, cars and urban air affect longevity in a positive way. Shukes
It’s because statistically people live longer these days than they have ever before. Saw an interesting article about junk food. A doctor was saying it has no bearing on your health and that the only thing to worry about is the amount you eat. i can testify that my diet of BBQs and beer is making me feel healthy than I will in ten years time. Popular Post Hafnia
Im currently at the end of my jollies in sunny Spain. Prior to which I had 2 months without a drop of alcohol - done couch to 5k (In under 2 weeks at 17st 10). Got my time down from 31 min to 25 mins in another 2 weeks with weight at 17st 2..... the difference in my stress management, general wellbeing, brain function was off the scale. Diet wise I was still eating more or less what I wanted. Less chocolate and crisps and loads of protein based meals. For me the key is controlling blood sugar ... eat low g.i meals and I can control my snacking and hunger pangs. These footballers like baines get my utmost respect. I'm 42 now but was pretty fit at 25/26.... getting older is tougher. Body just retains fat easier and muscles lack that surge of power they once had. We should have a thread where we track our fitness goals. Matt, Newty82, plaidharper and 2 others
