markjazzbassist
http://www.sportsvibe.co.uk/news/football/sunderland-join-race-for-jack-rodwell-34946/? let me use a hafnia-ism to explain this. jack rodwell is being offered a free car, will he choose the ford hatchback, or the jaguar? no competition here unless they want to overpay. duncanmckenzieismagic
£10m? No chance! Agreed, with his fitness concerns I wouldnt like to see us splash out that kind of fee on him. If we get Besic I cant see a place for him anyway as we would already have Besic, Baryy, Gibson and McCarthy. I would sooner spend the £10M on a striker

Romey 1878
£10m - I hope we've got a sell-on. Sunderland must be fucking nuts. City have done unbelievably well to only make a £2m loss. Matt
Makis
Sunderland are throwing money around like it's going out of fashion. 14 million for Borini, 10 for Rodwell??
Toffee_in_LA
Best of luck to him, if not for all the injuries he's had, he would've been great. Matt

MikeO
Think it's very sad for a lad who came through our ranks with such promise to take what he thought was a step forward to end up taking three or four steps back. Wish him a decent career but it'll never hit the heights we (and he) hoped. Matt and efc1111

Can't believe that Sunderland would consider paying that much without it being a loan to start with.
thoward18
Wish him the best, but holy crap that is an expensive transaction. Makes Besic look that much better.
badaids
Shame for Rodders. I just don't get why he went to City, but if he wants to play he can't stay there. At this stage, he's best off going anywhere who will give a game and the chance to get fit again.
Bill
Just been on the Sunderland forum, they say its a six million fee with a huge pay cut, they think its a good deal. Still not signed tho. 11am.
Hafnia
£6m could be a bargain, all depends on injuries. With continued games he can be a great player. Matt

Guest blueboy122
All the best to him. Never particularly rated him as highly as others. He was a bit of a crab with his side to side and backwards passing.
