Toffee_in_LA
Don't know much about the lad (didn't catch the full game against ManU) but I don't want this to be just a flash in the pan performance. I do think it's smart for RM to send a scout to his games, nothing to lose with that.
Matt
At that price, worth a go. Then again, I'd rather give Vellios a chance
Dalziel Kane
Got an impressive goals to games ratio and seems like a kid with a future and can only improve, so may be worth a chance.

To be honest, I think if Vellios were any good , he'd have gotten more of a chance by now.
Matt
To be honest, I think if Vellios were any good , he'd have gotten more of a chance by now. Dunno, theres a fair bit of competition for the lone striker at the moment.
Quinn31
Dunno, theres a fair bit of competition for the lone striker at the moment. He's not even making the bench. He didn't even make the bench when Kone was injured and Lukaku was ineligible... Mirallas played upfront when Jelavic came off.
bluenosetoffee
I haven't seen much of him but I bet you will see a lot of people jumping on the "Beraniho band wagon" saying he is quality because he scored the winner against United. He seems like a guy who has a eye for goal but is young. I would want to see more of him before making any rash decisions. Bailey
He's not even making the bench. He didn't even make the bench when Kone was injured and Lukaku was ineligible... Mirallas played upfront when Jelavic came off. That was because we wanted to play counter attacking football and Jelavic wouldnt have suited the way we would have wanted to play. Although I agree with your original point, I dont think we are going to see much of him now but I dont see a problem with that now considering we have much more depth in that area. GoodisonRoad
http://www.shoot.co.uk/category/news/everton-linked-with-move-for-new-england-striker/ Would love him here, think he will be a boss player. Similar mold to Sturridge and could give us a different, exciting option upfront. Doubt we could afford him like, but happy to be proven wrong! MikeO
Agreed. He's a great little player though. Needs to do it for a bit longer for me. Admittedly he's been on fire this season but he scored five in thirty-two games last season; football is littered with players who had a hot streak and then disappeared without trace. Hope he does well though, like it when players come from backgrounds like his and succeed. Matt and MC11

Newty82
I'm with Mike. The media loves to find someone to hype about. They're all muppets. He needs to prove himself for a few years yet before anyone pays big bucks for him.

MC11
I reckon they'd want close to £20m now. Agree with Mike and Newts on this. He needs to prove himself over a longer period of time.
Romey 1878
Why? Because he's already too pricey for us, and I think he'd be setting his sights higher than us in all honesty.

Romey 1878
Didn't we all think that about Rom though? You really think we'll spunk another £20m on a single player? I don't see us doing that for some time. The latter point though; you could be right. Although, Rom only wanted to play in the PL and we were the only PL club after him. Whereas United, Liverpool, Spurs etc are being linked with Berahino.

Both disappeared for a long time and only the latter has made headlines in recent months.

I'm with MikeO on this one.
