Steve_E
It seems McNulty thinks this is in fact another Banega situation. We'll find out tomorrow that Fernando has never even heard of Everton.

Madjer
No one a bit baffled that we're paying £15m when he's in the last year of his contract? We're just abble to sell him for 15 because of that. He worth much more.

Madjer
Is he better than the Afro man? Far better, in my opinion. He's a selection of Brazil type of player, but he had a disciplinar problem when he was under-20 for Brazil. Many people believe that is his problem, because the quality is there. thoward18
Doesn't sound promising when the club appear to not know of our interest All they said is he hasn't been sold. That could mean, "the paperwork making the signing official has not been completed yet." I don't see how we can infer from such a statement that they do "not know of our interest." Perfect signing for Arsenal then! They need some steel and bite in their midfield much like ours...

Madjer
So what is being said in Portugal? Is he coming to Everton? Interested in the Premier League? He wants to play in another league, for sure. He spent 6 years here, with many championships, cups, an Europe League, amazing games in Uefa Champions League... He thinks it's time to change and I don't blame him. The press is saying that he'll problaby stay, but this could be to put some pressure on negotiotions. Fearthainn
Please let this happen. I'd quite happily let Fellaini go if Fernando is the man we're bringing in. Plus there should be some money left for another midfielder or a striker. Edited September 2, 2013 by Fearthainn

Louis
A John Cross from the Daily Mirror claimed that Martinez was at a Work Permit hearing for Fernando. Then, apparently Sky Sports shown him driving into Finch Farm - although it could have been old footage. Twitter, ladies and gentlemen.
