StevO
Would love him at everton! He went to pompy so I don't see why we couldn't tempt him, apart from the cash.
smeghead1
Would take him in a shot altho never at thne 16 million thats mentioned!! Whose selling him Dick Turpin or ole rubber face wearing a robbers mask!!
duncanmckenzieismagic
If we could afford the fee or even the wages I would love him here If he wants regular first team football then that more or less rules out Man Utd, City and The Shite. Would he go to Arsenal?? So then your down to the likes of Villa, Fulham, Newcastle and Sunderland and we have to be as big a draw as those kind of teams (if we had the finances!) Wall Writer
Would be a great add me thinks, only draw back is whether we have the funds, and that I seriously doubt.

aaron
passed it. Scored how many in well over a year? is it 2 or 3? Will cost too much in transfer fee's and wages to be a justifiable signing, couple of years ago I would snap your hand off, now? No thanks. trenty111
I would definately have him here.. somehow not longterm.. he can score goals but has been injured recently for Spurs. I wouldn't go near that asking price though.
scouse
Dont think this is a runner, we couldnt firstly afford the asking price and secondly his wages. I would love him here he has pace to burn and can find the back of the net.
Romey 1878
Seems to like it down South. I can't see him coming here even if we could somehow scrape the pennies together.
StevO
i think they would take £8m if we could get it. but he would want £80k a week at least
Hafnia
Not suited to our style of centre forward play... haven't really seen him doing much work down the channels in his time.
Bailey
Not suited to our style of centre forward play... haven't really seen him doing much work down the channels in his time. Exactly.. He would be a waste of money for us. A cracking player and he will be a great purchase for any other topflight club.
SimonButtle
Not suited to our style of centre forward play... haven't really seen him doing much work down the channels in his time. fully agree, we would have to seriously change the way we play to fit him in, and im not sure Moyes can/would do that, Defoe is also abit of a whinger at times
smeghead1
Not suited to our style of centre forward play... haven't really seen him doing much work down the channels in his time. Altho he hasnt scored for ages and has been injured quite a lot this season so maybe not that much of a misfit after all.
duncanmckenzieismagic
According to The People we are sniffing around a loan deal until the end of the season for Defoe http://www.people.co.uk/sport/football/football-hotline/2011/11/27/jermain-defoe-plea-for-january-transfer-window-loan-deal-102039-23590370/

codders78
Jermain Defoe has pleaded with Harry Redknapp to let him go out on loan in January with Everton heading the pack of clubs interested. Would be an excellent addition. I have always thought he is a good prem player and can take his chances. Struggled when making the step up to international so has his limitations but I would welcome him here
Romey 1878
I thought he would only play for clubs down South?
Hafnia
Always liked him but he will have to change his style to play for us. Similar to yak, not a workhorse or holding player.
smeghead1
Get him in and play him up top with Velios!!
pete0
A striker who has no positional sense or composure. Very limited ability, he scores the odd lucky strike but he's an absolute awful striker, only need to re-watch his pens to see he cant finish properly. Kohen
Is he not playing first team football at spurs at the moment? Disagree with Pete but agree with the sentiments this would not happen!

His record is very good for the games played, the problem i have is i really dont see that we would play to his strengths, and like Mark said, i thought he was not interested in playing up north. GoodisonRoad
Wont happen and shouldnt happen. He wouldnt suit our style of play, which is the reason he isnt playing at Tottenham. He cant play up top on his own, similar to Beckford, but Beckford had the advantage of a bigger physique.
Matt
so he would be the front man we hoof it up to?! Err......
marcus jones
So let us hit the ball over the top then shall we peeps? We ain't fast enough going forward to offer him space, he won't deal with crosses over knee height so that leaves ball over the top into channels. Brilliant! And here is me wanting to see the ball on the deck!
pete0
totally disagree he is better than any striker we have and he was one of the top epl scorers 2ish years ago Does he get in good positions? Is he a good finisher? Never mind the stats, 5 goals against a very poor Wigan(mostly the old spurs cb fault) were gifted to him. Did you see the pen against us and the numerous other chances he's wasted over the years? He like Andy Johnson but with a worse shot, pass and awareness. Basically he can run.
