Cornish Steve
Brian Pinas Not funny in itself, but when a commentator says "and here comes Pinas, dribbling around Seaman, goal", theres something special... edit : it never happened but was always being suggested But what was said, when England were playing the West Indies back in the 70s, was "The bowler's Holding, the batsman's Willey." A Brian Johnston classic. Matt

Dalziel Kane
c1982 initially suggested soccer players, but there's been mention of swimmers, racing drivers, skiers and cricket ? Multi-talented individuals ? If we were to approach this seriously I couldn't look far beyond the names hitherto mentioned such as Stefan Kuntz and Fourpence for example. The others didn't really offer much humor, but then you'd maybe include names such as Danny Invincible, David Goodwillie, Creedence Clearwater Congo (bad name rising), Nwanko Kanu (not especially amusing but worth a mention), Dean Windass, Dan Shittu, Argelico Fucks, Chiqui Arce and Peter Shirtlift for good measure. The Korean game would surely generate some worthwhile names to look into such as Suk Mi Kok for example, but even that appears a little too fanciful. Dalziel Kane
Was aware of the significance of the word, as is the first response, but above all else, I don't find soccer players with names some may determine, or recognize, as womens genitalia, overly amusing. As with the direct before, would resemble it with a player being poor or inept, not necessarily for more vulgar practices.
