Dalziel Kane
Everton win the Gothia Cup. Way to go! I agree it sounds rather immaterial but I learned that thousands of teams participate from all corners of the world and if some of our juniors have overcome all that and emerged as overall winners, I say that's a very commendable achievement. Appears they won it with some ease in the end, beat some decent teams and went all the way. May not be the most valued or important soccer tournament on the planet or since records began, but those kids can be proud of themselves after that win. Here's some more information from the official site on what occured. http://www.evertonfc.com/news/archive/2013/07/20/young-blues-earn-gothia-cup-triumph
Cornish Steve
My oldest son played in this tournament years back and had a great time. What he enjoyed most, though, was having his picture taken with one of the Swedish girls' teams playing in a parallel tournament!
