Zoo
Mrs.Zoo (Porto fan) rates him and at £5m I don't think we can go wrong. If we sign him though it will almost confirm that at least one defender will leave the club - I'm hoping it's just Johnny.

Brett Angel
Would rather have shawcross first. I want a defender not a good footballer. Theres no need for any CB to bring the ball out when less than five yards everytime we have Barry and McCarthy to do that for us.
J*A*C*K*E*L*Z
I just dont get it! If jags or distin get droped the player i want coming in is john stones!! He played almost every game of that long unbeaten run we went on last year. I do also beleive that our two at the back will improove its not allways about throwing money at it to fix the problem we need to work with what we have internally. Matt and Kant

markjazzbassist
There's the long term partner for Stones we're looking for... Sounds more like he would be a 3rd cb until browning and Galloway are ready. Not a bad idea since Distin and Alcaraz will probably leave. Not to mention another year and jags form who knows what to expect.

markjazzbassist
He's not going to come here to be 3rd choice Okay maybe he replaces 33 year old jags next year. Jags ain't distjn, he won't play till 36, I could see next year or the year after being his last.
Guest rusty747
I agree. Now is not the time to be sentimental about older players that we might have a soft spot for. I really rate Jags as a player but he is just not suited to the style of football that Martinez wants. Stones is, Galloway is, Browning is but this Rolando chap could come in and do a job alongside Stones right now. It's a very important 6 months for us in that regard. We need to show enough to the end of the season to be attractive to transfer targets, and then need to spend the transfer window rejuvenating the spine of the team. That means Distin, Alcaraz, possibly Jags, Ossie, Peanuts will all need replacing with younger blood.
