Zoo
There have been quite a few photos of pre-season floating around the Everton Facebook page so I thought I'd start a thread that was a central place for all the pre-season discussion. I'll start by posting the pictures Everton released today from the summer camp in Austria.
Steve_E
Anyone have a list of the players who've gone to Austria? Noticed a couple of youngsters I knew nothing about. Conor Grant for example, what position does he play? Hopefully someone like Junior can impress and make the step up, we need players in his position

It's great to see youngsters like this getting a chance to work out with the first team players.

Avinalaff
Martinez says the majority of senior players won't be ready until Real Betis, which I'm disappointed about, as would have liked to have taken on the big boys in a proper match. Zoo
Martinez says the majority of senior players won't be ready until Real Betis, which I'm disappointed about, as would have liked to have taken on the big boys in a proper match. It will give a good indication of where the fringe players are at though. If the academy can do well against Wien at the weekend then they might earn themselves PL places. Edit: Nothing to do with pre-season but I'm not going to start a new thread for such a small event. Barclays are looking for Evertonians who would like to appear in a television commercial ahead of the new Premier League campaign. Casting is Monday 2-5pm in Liverpool. Cornish Steve
I think one player is wearing odd boots, not two different people. I agree. I'm surmising that a player lost one boot and borrowed a second. If we knew the owner of each boot, we identify the player to most likely be one of two.
StevO
I'd think he's more likely to be trying out two different boots, rather than losing one. They will have plenty of boots with them. Probably one of the younger lads as most of the senior players will have sponsorship deals.
pete0
Guessing it's a defender (Heitinga) and that one of their boots ripped, couldn't be arsed swapping both. Edited July 14, 2013 by pete0
StevO
Guessing it's a defender (Heitinga) and that one of their boots ripped, couldn't be arsed swapping both. I'd be very surprised. Heitinga isn't there and has a very lucrative deal with Nike, wearing an Adidas boot would be a costly mistake.

He's just listed with the midfielders. What's up with Tony Hibbert btw, why's he not going?

Dalziel Kane
Everything is always subject to change, but that's an impressive line-up of opposition there. You'd be hard pressed to find a better caliber of opposition sides than what is forthcoming.
