Louis
http://aldia.cr/futbol-costa-rica/legionarios/Legionarios-Bryan_Oviedo_0_164383589.html (Spanish language) “Quedar fuera me afectó bastante, me sentía triste al no estar en la Selección. Solo espero jugar con el Everton para volver pronto” Being left out of the national team (la Selección) [for the Gold Cup] has affected me, I was saddened not to be part of it. I hope to play with Everton and return soon. I am very excited, because I have a great opportunity to show the coach (Roberto Martínez) what I can do. I know that I must give sacrifices and work hard. I want to play. I hope to God that Baines goes and I can consistently start [matches]" he said. “La parte de adaptación ya la pasé, yo jugué varios partidos la temporada anterior. Ahora sé que tengo que consolidarme” The adaptation process has finished, I played several games last season. Now I know that I have to establish myself. “Quiero tener regularidad y experiencia, eso es importante para mí, de eso no hay duda. Hay que volver a la Selección” "I want to play regularly and gain experience, it is important for me, no doubt about it. I must return to the national team "
SimonButtle
Poor bloke is probably just desperate to play, and see's he might have a chance that's all, silly comment though.
Peter H
It was probably a cheeky comment with a wink in his eye. Lost in translation in print. Im sure he hopes that Baines will stick around. Quinn31, EFC-Paul and Sibdane
Louis
That's how I read it, it must be a joke.
4evablu
Tongue in cheek comment I reckon, although you could understand it from his perspective. He just wants playing time as they all do...
Avinalaff
I didn't get the fact that Moyes spent money on him and left him on the bench, while Baines got no rest. I think he is very exciting once on, and would like to see more of him. Matt and Sibdane

Kohen
Doesn't seem to crack a smile at what I can only assume is the part where he mentions Baines. He's always very Pro-Everton on his Twitter feed. Sibdane
EFC-Paul
As said probably tongue in cheek but lost in translation.. I hope he gets more chances this coming season as what we've seen so far of him is promising and on the face of things I think Martinez will like what he see's in Oviedo. Avinalaff
No Av', it's Costa Rican. Damn. I'm all out of Ricans. Is there anywhere I can watch it for free ?

I think he is very exciting once on, and would like to see more of him. This. Exactly this. I thought the fee was a little too high in retrospect given the amount of playing time he DIDN'T get. StevO
Maybe a little far out here, but he impressed me on the wing. Could he play as the left forward in a 433? Sibdane and Matt
EFC-Paul
Maybe a little far out here, but he impressed me on the wing. Could he play as the left forward in a 433? I've thought the very same thing in all honesty Steve. He seem's to have all the right qualities to very well in that position and although we've not seen a great deal of him i still think he's to good player to be sat on his arse each week. Sibdane
Maybe a little far out here, but he impressed me on the wing. Could he play as the left forward in a 433? Same thoughts here -- could be the answer to the left(or right) wing.

RuffRob
I has going to be difficult for any player to get much time if your the understudy to Baines. I can see why he was bought though as very little cover on the left side should Baines get an injury. Decent player from what I have seen. Matt
Maybe a little far out here, but he impressed me on the wing. Could he play as the left forward in a 433? he certainly has the pace and crossing ability. Id be happy if he took up that role
flaminfox
He talked about how great Baines is and how much he learned from him. Yes, the comment was only a joke
Popular Post Shukes
Just been reading his comments on Baines and have to say, each time this guy speaks and playes i like him more. And i have to say i have been impressed with his game time pre-season. He looks pretty confident on the ball is a real willing player. He seems to be able to cross, dribble and has a bit of pace and desire. Hope we see more of him this season. Bill
Yeah i think he would be an adequate replacement if Baines goes. Anybody got any News about Kennedy, I thought he was going to be the next youngster to break through but I havent heard anything about him for a while. Shukes
I think kennedy is still another year off. Exciting player but needs consistency at the moment. I would have thought he would be more of a winger too.
Avinalaff
I'm confident if Baines goes we are ok with this guy. He is also our best penalty taker apparently.
StevO
To be honest, I think Baines and Oviedo could play great together. They would dominate the left side big time!
