Hafnia
Isn't it up to a pro footballer to keep in shape? I just don't think he's ready. After a pre season maybe yes. But Deulofeu had a bigger impact on our season. That's not even questionable. well there you go... he will be ready after pre season. Thats my point. http://www.evertonfc.com/news/archive/2014/01/16/martinez-mcgeady-looking-sharp

JoeQuince
http://www.evertonfc.com/news/archive/2014/05/23/deulofeu-writes-to-evertonians Why did the club feel it necessary to change "soccer" to "football" but not add -ing to the words missing it early on? People would surely understand what the word soccer means, right? After all, you lot invented it.
Louis
Good question, I never even noticed it was "soccer" in the original. I don't know why they felt the need to 'correct' it. For me, It's interchangeable when reading it, I don't think I even notice it, but when it's spoken aloud it stands out.
Guest blueboy122
Wish him all the best and hope he goes onto greatness and wins Ballan Dor's etc. seems like a great kid and I really felt he fell in love with the club. Louis
I was surprised too, I hope he makes his debut but can't see him returning to Everton in the future.
Kant
He would be the substitute of Jesus Navas (in the super-sub role). Spain sometimes send Navas to provide width and crossing, and this year it would make sense with Costa or Llorente in there. If Navas can't recover from his ankle injury, Deulofeu is an acceptable plan B. Not ready, but we don't have much more in terms of speed, dribble, crossing and width now that Jesé is injured. Besides, Spain play -more or less- the Barça tactic, Deulofeu should not need time to adapt.
BlueBlood81
His year with us certainly did him no harm in regard to the national team then, doubt he would have got that call up if he stayed with Barca and only got a few minutes off the bench now and again. Sure that won't go unnoticed by a few bit part youngsters at the big teams in Spain.(Morata,Casemiro,Rafinha,Oliver Torres etc....yes please!) As a side note, as we took such good care of Gerry what about a cheeky loan bid for Halilovic? Edited May 25, 2014 by BlueBlood81

Guest Nikica
He really is a huge talent though. If he improves his decision making he's going all the way to the top. The dribbling, pace and - sometimes - shooting all looks great. Kant

MC11
The thing we'll miss most is his presence on the bench.... A game changer. We need like for like if we don't get him back. Quinn31
I wouldn't rule out him coming back. If Barcelona are active in the transfer market for a forward, wouldn't shock me if he was told he wouldn't be a big part of their plans come August....
