Madmatt
apparently we have had a 4m bid rejected by rovers, according to skysports transfer news. Did BK win the lotto???
GoodisonRoad
http://www1.skysports.com/transfer-centre/clockwatch Everton suddenly found a few quid offer for Jelavic #rangers and also a £4m offer for Hoilett #brfc which was rejected #efc #transferwindow

StevO
Are we getting into silly season now? I'd be made up with junior but I really can't see us pulling this one off. From my iPhone
London Blue
Would love him, but probably not with other clubs sniffing around. Purse strings loosend to pull away from relegation area or putting in bids that wont be accepted to fool the fans? Watch this space.... Lowensda
I'd love this....suprised we've pulled that sort of money out but this is the sort of signing we should be making....Come on EVerton!!!
codders78
Never going to happen at £4million surely in todays market he is worth at least twice that? I do rate him and would be delighted to see him join
SimonButtle
Bily money.... Rather secure Drenthe Are you sure you did'nt mean Donovan, no way Moyes will keep Drenthe he is crap, hence why he is not starting at the moment, been so dissapointed with him, thought he would do so much more. codders78
Isnt he out of contract in the summer though? Apparently he is, good knowledge sir http://sportinglife.aol.co.uk/football/news/article/22882/7414801/rovers-to-listen-to-hoilett-offers I guess they will want to cash in then and £4million now seems a little high in light of recent developments
Philinsuffolk
No chance of us getting him. If he is this close to being a free agent he will have a choice of clubs in the summer and some of those clubs will offer him more chance of success than us. He's going to be a really good player. Louis
I don't know.. he could be turning out for one of Canada or Jamaica in the near future. The travel might take it out of him so he may not be as fresh as he is with Blackburn. Still.. he's a decent player.
Guest
I'd love us to be aggressive and go for Hoillett. Offer him good wages and first team place even put in a clause if a "bigger" club comes in if he does well. If he goes to Spurs,Utd etc will he get a regular game? At the shite he might. I think we need to be looking at the two kids at Crewe saw a bit of footie focus today and one of them was scoring great goals from all over the park. Would love this team next season: Howard Coleman Heitenga Dystin/Jags Baines Royston Felli Barkley Peanuts Hoillett Jelavic subs: Mucha,Ossie,Gibbo,Strach,Hibbo,Nev,Maggie,Vic
scouse
Not a bad team, not sure about RB though. (null)
Guest blueboy122
Holliet would be an immense signing for us he would make my summer and I would be happy if we only signed him. The amount of times he plays forwards through on goal by spliting defences apart and ripping them to shreads and playing himself through at times is incrediable and is something we are crying out for in the centre of the park.....creativity someone with that spark
cn174
If I was you, I'd be looking at Hoilett. Has bags of pace, can change a game, scores goals. He does have a bit of a chip on his shoulder, but without him and Yak we'd have been dead and buried a long time ago. Oh and you'll get him cheap. c1982
Off to bourissia munchengladbach (sp!!!) for only £800k compensation! Obviously don't know his situation but he would have been a steal at that! Will be playing champs league footie so makes sense.
c1982
It seems the £800k would have been more like £4m if a prem team had snapped him up - but still...
Louis
No.. he would have been 800k whoever bought him. His contract had expired, although he had been offered one - which activates the compensation clause.
chicagoblue
http://www.hartlepoolmail.co.uk/sport/football/sunderland-afc/safc-target-junior-hoilett-could-still-re-sign-for-blackburn-rovers-1-4724859 Saw a bit of talk about him in a few other threads. Would we want him at a reported 50,000/week plus compensation to Blackburn? Is 40,000 our current cap after Arteta left or could we fit him in without upsetting the hierarchy? Think he got real potential, reminds me at times of Barkley. With our burgeoning attacking options we're going to need someone to feed the supply chain, is Hoilett ready for that? Romey 1878
Felli recently signed a new contract and thats got to have at least put him on 55k a week.

Matt
Felli recently signed a new contract and thats got to have at least put him on 55k a week. Felli on 75k (took Artetas wage) from the rumours I read. Hoilett shouldnt get more than 25k to start with, needs to prove himself before hes on the same lines as Heits, Baines, Cahill, etc

mcirony
Personally, I'd rather we save the wages/comp money and give Barkley a go. I'm pretty sure Moyes would be more likely to play Naismith and Jella as first choice anyway, don't think we need Hoillet on those wages as a good prospect.
