Lowensda
Ref-Cam - Bringing you closer to the action. Here is the Rugby HQ special on the RefCam, a great new initiative to take fans closer to the game, by strapping an HD camera to the referee. This has shown some brilliant new and up close footage. All credit goes to Fox Sports AU What are people's thoughts of this being brought into Football? Personally, I think it's a brilliant idea. Film can be reviewed and punishments sanctioned, should anyone do anything untoward or something directed at the ref. Any obscenities, could lead to punishments. Could allow people to see "what the ref saw" during big calls and incidents. Would anyone welcome this move? And how do you think it can be implemented positively? Louis
It reminded me of the Nike advert from a few years ago. I like the idea of it, and I'd like to see it used in football.
Lowensda
It does actually, the Arsenal one? Cracking advert. Would love to have a red button option, where you could change the type of cameras from Pitch-side to ref cam, tht would be incredible! pete0
I can't see it ever happening as they're all bias cunts and it would make it much more difficult to use the speed of the game / refs interpretation bollocks to defend the blatant miscalls or obvious influence from the big stars around them *cough* England international *cough*. We certainly can't be having a POV cam on Rio or his boys running up to (the ref) and telling the kids to fuck off (and never get a yellow for it). Dalziel Kane
As with the goal-line technology debate it's an interesting concept but I can't see this actually being implemented any time soon. Maybe I'm for it, but it's not something I can see being introduced in the immediate future.
Avinalaff
It would get blue with Rooney lol. How he gets away with it beats me. Football is a different game though, and will no doubt bring differing results.
Guest blueboy122
It would certainly open up a possible can of worms for refs and clubs as it may be an insight into cheating and crime into the game, refs choosing not to give things when they see them resulting in teams benefiting, bets that could come in etc. Can of worms for all parties involved apart from the least important people of course the fans.
